Super Street Fighter II Turbo, in the house

can someone post up more ST video clips?

What is this money that you speak of?

Only prob for me is that I’m in the UK and customs has fucked me over sooo many times now. That ebay dude’s got it a bit cheaper and there won’t be customs involved. Hmm, dunno what to do? Gonna order this shit over the wkend either way, fuck the dvd… it’s all about ST hitboxes bitches!!!

I’m sorry if I’m slow, but is this AE or ST? not that it really matters much, as I like both, but I"m confused.

can anybody please tell me how to walk super with a charge character!!!

Charge back, walk forward, then back forward+button when you wanna super.

Edit: Beat me to it.

Sexperienced - There’s a Grand Master Challenge tourney this weekend. Also one of those Gatchi battles between Tsuji and Otochun. So there should be some footage of that up within the next couple weeks.

Orochi Bulldog - NKI has explained that a handful of times. Flip through the thread a bit.

Mozart - Happy birthday, d00d!

IIRC, it’s some of both.

This has already been explained more than once before, so I can tell you didn’t bother searching the thread, but I am frightened by the FOURTY-ONE exclamation points you used, so I feel obligated to explain it again.

It’s actually charge back, towards, back, towards (and hold it), press button whenever you want. Only works with Chun and Honda’s supers. Also works with Honda’s command throw (half circle back, then keep holding B or D/B, press punch any time).

It has both.

And vega’s flipkick? i dunno.

That’s charge db -> hold back -> toward + kick

If you guys could post your littel tricks on how you read the people you play that would be great.

For example a small but really cool trick Schaefer posted in an old classic thread (Which was just great start to end.) was that you know when to jump towards a ryu player and be safe when you see that his legs are starting to spread since he only does that before he is about to do a fireball. To tell the truth I found that 100% more useful for my play then learning combos. Maybe that’s just me but I had to give props.

Damn, I’m buff. I fiend for a major, stand-alone ST tourney in the U.S.

Hmm, am I moving to Japan soon? Starting to look like it.

I have this book too and it’s really good, it’s really worth getting. However, I was wondering if someone could give me a semi-translation of the numbers next to moves. I am guessing that the numbers are start up, duration the hit box is active, and recovery. However, in the book, some moves have three sets of numbers, some two, and some more than three… And yes I know about T.Akiba’s site.

Also, in the back there seems to be loads of useful advice for all the chracters, e.g. it seems to explain the trick of doing’s Ken’s whacky Kicks to cross over the opponent on the ground. Would anyone else be willing to give me a general gist of what else is in the back of the book, especially for ST Ken?

Also, I know this was asked on the old NKI’s Japan log thread, but I could not find it within that long thread, but what is the correct way to connect Shoryu-reppa off two lk’s with Ken? You kara the last kick right, is it lk, QCF, down +lk + lp, second QCF + P? I used to be able to do it, but I cannot remember for the life of me the correct motion.

lol

Sounds like a good idea. =D

Go for it! And if you’re there in the summer, I might see you there…

I’ll do it when I get home from work.

If it’s not super complicated (if I can read it without having to look up hella words), I’ll do that too.

D+Short, D+Short, D/F, F, D, D/F, F+Short+Jab

(Jab is the easiest to reach, but any punch button will work.)

I really don’t use any tricks to see moves; I depend a lot more on doing things that are 100% safe and/or option selected. For example, safe jumps, safe meaties, safe reversals, etc. Aside from O.Sagat’s Tiger Shots, it’s really not that hard to react to fireballs, I don’t think…

The closest I’ll be to Japan is Yoshinoya. Unless the Steelers win the Super Bowl. They better cover the spread.

It’s a function of kara cancelling a different level (crouching, standing, jumping) weak attack. http://games.t-akiba.net/sf2/theo_sys.html

I stand corrected. Original post updated.

Also, for those who own the “Yoga Book Hyper” but can’t read Japanese, this might come in handy:
