I finally got my copy of ***The Starting Over***, and there’s only one word to describe it…
INSANITY…:wow:
I haven’t watched all of the DVD yet, but so far it is off the chain, and the book (Yoga Book Hyper!!) is the greatest thing to happen to ST since T.Akiba’s site. Frame data and HIT BOXES for every move in the game…? This is the Holy Grail of ST knowledge.
Dunno if it’s being sold internationally or not, but if you get a chance to buy it, YOU BETTER! It’s expensive, (I paid about $80 for mine), but it was worth every penny, no doubt.
The ST tourny is 16 man 3/5 matches. was really nice to see some prolonged matchups. AniKen is a damn beast.
Not to mention the HSF and ST casual matches that were on the dvd too.
Then you have the TZW combo vid and glitch video.
Well worth the money. IMO
I have to agree with NKI on the ST frame data and hit box’s. I must have spent 2 hours just looking at all of my characters. Alot of stuff makes sense now.
In that first picture, is my sweetheart, Muteki, trying to replicate KomodaBura’s lucky shirt combo? And is his teammate, “The Doctor,” conducting some sort of medical exam with his right arm?
Come on guys - most of know that ST is the old mans game and by virtue of that, most of us have money. So lets not be a bunch of dicks and rip this dvd, just spend the money and buy - the book alone is worth it.
If i find a url/bittorrent to either a rip of the dvd or a scan of the book i’ll shut this whole damn thread down.
Whoops! Looks like I was confused. X-MANIA VI is definitely not the same as X-MANIA Gaiden, however, both of them use the name “The Starting Over”, which makes it hella confusing.
For the record, X-MANIA Gaiden is the tournament that is included on “The Starting Over” DVD. It was in April of 2005. X-MANIA VI was in December of 2005 and has not been released on DVD (yet), but it is also called “The Starting Over”.
…yeah, I dunno what’s going on in that picture…
I dunno, I kind of miss those mammoth glasses he used to wear. I bet he can see into the future with those things. That’s how he lands so many psychic DPs…
I really wish this forum had its own SF2 Strategy section. It is fucking beyond insane that a heap of shit like Capcom Fighting Evolution has its own section yet the SF2 games do not. The SF2 strat section would of course cover all the SF2 games.
I just wanted to read up on all the strats for the game that have been posted in the past. The search feature is handy for that but it can still be a pain to track down a lot of things. It would just come in handy having all the SF2 info in its own zone if you will.
