Don’t be too hard on the man. When your girl is constantly being kidnapped, it really makes you stop and thinking if she’s worth marrying. When you go to the bathroom to do number 2 and come out to find a note from your arch nemesis saying he’s got your girl for the umpteenth time, that tends to do things to your brain.

There’s a little more to it than that. You might not know this, but Mario actually has moderate minarcho-capitalist leanings and is kind of creeped out by the current status of the Mushroom Kingdom. Remember, some games let us tour it in significant detail. Particularly the RPGs, some of which show us that there are statues of Peach in several places throughout the kingdom and most homes have at least one piece of art that features her. Given that she is an absolute ruler (the highest ranking royal, and I suspect the ONLY royal, in a monarchy)… we can look at historical examples in the real world to see where this is going. China for example often featured Mao in prominent public art, and other nations throughout history have had similar practices. It was all done to glorify the state and its greatest leader of the time, and ‘loving your leader’ was mandatory.
Can you imagine how Mario feels about that? He thought he was fighting to protect a virtuous, kind leader and the various Toad people living under her benevolent rule; monarchy chafed his sensibilities, but it seemed benign enough in this case that his minarchist philosophy could tolerate it, he was protecting the ‘lesser good’ because it was surrounded by unambiguous evil. Now he finds Peach is actually engaging in a ‘cult of leader worship’ just like countless totalitarian societies from Earth, and what is he to think? Will he be party to horrific, society-level crimes at some point? The man has wasted decades of his life fighting for a cause that never truly existed!
Mark my words, Mario was pressured into this marriage. There was a lot of “…or else” involved. He’ll put on a brave smile in public, but at night… Mario knows the truth of the beast.

Luigi will always be the better Mario brother in my book. I’ve always preferred him over red in Smash.
When it comes to Smash, Luigi has always been better than Mario tier-wise. Dr. Mario, not so much.
Weegee has better mobility, higher jumps, better kill moves, and is just simply more fun. Mario has always been the all-rounder, solid in most categories, better horizontal movement in the air, has a better projectile, and better recovery options.
But Mario can’t Shin-Shoryu mothafuckas and randomly EXPLODE on bitches. MISFIRE! All day, err’yday…

Not sure what it’s spamming though; the post is not something I’ve been constantly repeating, and has no links to non-Smash/non-fighting game materials or other things outside the community interest. Did you perhaps mean “Off Topic”? Might be able to make a case for that, but I don’t see how it fits either definition of Spam. If you’re taking issue with my being silly since news on this game is so slow, let’s talk it out instead of clicking impersonal reaction buttons that don’t even describe your complaint accurately?

Luigi’s recovery is waaaaaaaaaaay better than the dumb brother.
If by better you mean more PREDICTABO! You would be correct. Luigi’s gonna do some combination(or all) of the following things: Green Missile(pray for a misfire), jump, Luigi Cyclone(have a seizure on dat B button), all of which have mad lag and simple paths through the air. A competent player need only wait for you to exhaust your Cyclone and force you to use your Jump and you’re done, because all you have left is Green Missile and that can be easily spiked or meteored.
Unless, of course, you get that 8% chance to kick in and go rocketing through the air like you got dynamite in your ass, then you have one the better recoveries in the game. Mario can at least Cape stall to slow his descent and while he doesn’t get as much vertical out of his Tornado, he covers a lot more horizontal area.
…except Mario lost that use of his tornado in Brawl, right? Unless I’m mistaken (it’s been a while since I tried Brawl Mario) his down-air tornado doesn’t really help his recovery that much.
And from what I can tell so far, that’s still the case in Smash 4 (when they did that demo battle between Mega Man and Mario I saw Mario use F.L.U.D.D).
EDIT: Another thought. We’ve gotten reveals for Luigi and Peach so far…could a Yoshi reveal be coming next? He’s the only non-secret fighter from the original Smash that hasn’t been shown yet.
Loooolll I forgot all about Brawl Mario. I was just in Melee mode for some reason. Yeah, Brawl Mario has ass recovery… But it doesn’t matter, because anyone can make it back to the ledge in Brawl, except tether characters, lol.
