I just hope we don’t pull the same shit as Brawl with only being able to do custom matches with friends if there is online. Give me lobbies damn it.
One would hope that Namco will chime in on their expertise surrounding how online stuff should be setup. Just hoping Sakurai is willing to listen and consider suggestions. The good thing this time around though is that we have a direct line to Nintendo through miiverse. If they reveal their plans for the online and something is amiss then we can at least bring that up to the forefront and get it seen.

Right after I posted this, I just noticed the tiny red plane.
Nintendo doesn’t hate the internet… it is just Japan prefers the local stuff for their portables due to Monster Hunter (maybe its a lag thing no idea really) and it is cheaper to pretend the rest of the world feels the same.
Well, this was a while ago, but I do remember Sakurai saying that he wanted to make Brawl’s online a LOT more extensive than it was…however, due to the large amount of limitations that Nintendo put in its online at the time, he wasn’t able to do everything he wanted with it. And since Nintendo seems a lot more lenient with what it allows online (Need for Speed: Most Wanted U being a good example), I wouldn’t be too worried. At least not with the Wii U version.
3DS version I’m confident he’ll implement online, he did do so for Kid Icarus: Uprising which was his previous project. And as I mentioned, every fighting game on the 3DS so far has had online except for Blazblue.
Pic of the day. “Link finishes off his move as Kirby dances.”
Link trying to look badass and Kirby with the photo bomb.
The more I see of Link the more I wish he was in his Skyward form. Which gets me thinking…
Anyone else wonder/hope that they’ll change his Final Smash to incorporate Fi or the Loftwing? I think that would be pretty awesome. Though an HD Triforce Slash would still be great, too.
I thought that Link was half based on Skyward and Twilight but he really isn’t. I had to look up the art designs for both and compare and if there was anything really Skyward about him it’d be the way how he’s colored…and that’s just the stylistic choice of the game rather than so much him. The effects on the Master Sword do remind me of Skyward though…but everything else about him design and aesthetic wise is Twilight.

Maybe he uses Skyward’s boots? Nope the design is on Twilight’s. Perhaps the gauntlets? Nope, Metal gauntlets on Skyward’s vs. the Leather that Smash 4 and Twilight uses. Pretty much every small detail I tried looking up in between the differences of the Link’s matched up to Twilight…even down to the small little stitching done on the shoulder and down the arm is Twilight’s.

Thing that kinda sucks though is that as far as we know Megaman can’t cancel his Charge and take it with him like Samus. That’s probably the only character flaw with him.
Not to mention he uses Barnes’ bombs rather than the “bomb flowers” from Skyward Sword.
I hope this doesn’t discount the possibility of the whip being a replacement for the boomerang. We haven’t even seen his Side B yet as far as I know, so maybe…
Interesting that they made the charged mega buster a side smash. I would’ve made it so that you have to hold down neutral A.
No Skyward Sword Link?
My hype for this game fell a tiny bit again.
Wait I’m confused now. Does this mean that metal blades is his neutral B attack?
I think it works like this:
Neutral A: Lemon Shot
Forward A: Walking Lemon Shot
Forward Smash: Mega Buster
Down Tilt: Slide
Down Smash: Double Flame Pillar thing
Up Tilt: ???
Up Smash: Electric Attack
Neutral Air: Lemon Shot
Forward Air: Flame Sword
Back Air: Slash Attack
Down Air: Meteor Smash
Up Air: ???
Neutral Special: Metal Blades
Forward Special: SHORYUKEN
Down Special: Leaf Shield
Up Special: Dog
I could’ve sworn his Up Tilt was Mega Upper (shoryuken).
Mega Man’s known moves*(as broken down from my hundreds of views of the MM trailer/E3 exhibition)*
Forward-B: Metal Blade
Neutral-B: Crash Bomb
Down-B: Leaf Shield
Up-B: Rush Coil
Neutral-A: Mega Buster
Forward-A: Walking Mega Buster
Down-Tilt: Slide
Up-Tilt: Mega Upper*(only Luigi gets the all caps SHORYUKEN)*
Foward Smash: Charge Shot
Down Smash: Flame Blast
Up-Smash: Spark Shock
Up Aerial: Air Shooter*(credit to UnSaxon51)*
Forward Aerial: Flame Sword
Back Aerial: Slash Claw
Down Aerial: Hard Knuckle
Dash Attack: Top Spin
Grab: Super Arm
po’s list is correct as far as we know.
And we’ve seen one glimpse of his Up-Air (Air Shooter) in the Sakurai demo match.

I used this version because the original had the worst commentary of all time.
up tilt = SRK? ewwww…don’t know how I feel about that. Forward Special I feel would probably make more sense for it. When it’s done in the developer direct at 5:26 it sorta almost implies that it’s a forward special from Megaman moving forward before performing it. If that’s a tilt though then uses for it will probably be far more limited. I hope it isn’t a tilt…
