Super Smash Bros. General - Patience and Spacing....or Whine and Moan

Mash up stages is one idea Nintendo should take from PS All-Stars. Possibilities are endless for Nintendo

Pic of the day. “Ahem! You mind not touching my nose?”

Villager: I wonder what happens if try to pocket body parts off of people?

I think the better question is what happens when he throws them back?

Luigi! NO! Get away! That guy is Death himself! You can’t win against that!!

Stranger danger! Where is the rape whistle?!

So that’s how he gets them…

Villager: I’m not…I’m collecting it.

“Be happy he’s just reaching for your nose!”

“Underground, no one can hear you scream…”

I had actually envisioned this scene far more darker and sinister. Something along the lines of Villager just casually taking Luigi’s nose off of his face with as little effort as possible and pocketing it while Luigi is screaming and holding his face in his hands that are now crimson. Cue Villager slowly turning his head to the camera with that smile he has on in that in Zoolander’s picture with the camera just creeping in closer to him then an abrupt blackout. That or he pulls on luigi’s nose and rips the skin clean off his entire face and pockets it.

Pic of the day. A Reset Bomb has gone off! It’s meant to return the surrounding area back to nature.

Still not as OP as the fan.

Hmm… the Reset Bomb has at least a passing resemblance to the Subspace Bombs. Throwback reference or subtle clue?

generally I think buying a fighting game on a handheld makes as much sense as choosing a paraplegic over Michael Jordan for your team, you’re severely limited execution wise by the control scheme, training mode let alone being tournament level competitive is pointless. however due to the simple controls of SB it will be the first fighting game that actually makes sense on a handheld.

Was it confirmed the 3Ds version will have online multiplayer?

It will definitely have local multiplayer; assuming you have a decent internet connection it shouldn’t be that much harder to implement online.

“Shouldn’t” being the key word there…

I don’t see why online can’t be done. It’s been done in other games already.

Because nintendo hates the internet

I don’t see why it wouldn’t. SSFIV 3D Edition had online, Dead or Alive: Dimensions had online (I think), Tekken 3D had online, Kid Icarus: Uprising had online (not really a fighting game, but it was Sakurai’s previous project), etc. I highly doubt that it would lack online play; I think the only fighting game on the 3DS that didn’t release with online was Blazblue.

I’m not worried about whether or not there will be online play. Chances are that there will be.

I’m more concerned about the quality…

I hadn’t even thought about the possibility of the 3DS not having online since I pretty much subconsciously thought that there wasn’t a question. One would think that it would be a no brainer but you guys talking about it had to bring me back to the realization that ‘This is Nintendo’. Since they’re having problems with characters like Ice Climbers and what not…Nintendo and Sakurai are first probably going to make sure that everything runs up to par with the Wii U edition first as priority 1 and then work on making sure the online is up to par.
