Lol @ Ridley being too big. He’s just like Bowser in that they both change size depending on what game they’re in. I see no reason why they can’t just make him as big (or slightly bigger) than Smash Bowser. He could be the first heavyweight character to have a glide or multiple jumps like Pit/Meta Knight.
That being said, I doubt he’ll make it. Samus will most likely remain the lone Metroid representative.
LOL. I sure did. My bad. I even used Dedede as a main for awhile until I got bored with chain-grabbing people and MUTHAFUCKIN’ Charizard needs no introduction…
Despite being a GENWUNNER myself, I always favored Blastoise over Charizard if I had to pick. This kid in elementary pronounced it as blastuss like tortoise. It sounded so stupid. Wonder if we’ll ever get a dragon starter.
Wouldn’t be an issue if he went all out. Keep the same characters (if possible in 3rd party cases) and add more, he’s actin like the roster is godly large or something. Brawl only had 35 characters, in comparison to some other dream matches KOF2002UM has 66 and Tekken Tag 2 has 59. Licensing shouldn’t be an issue for Nintendo’s characters.
The thing about the Metroid series it doesn’t really provide other characters that could be good Smash candidates. Ridley is pretty much the only other possibility. I don’t know if anyone wants the guys from Hunters or Corruption, but I don’t.
Blinx the Timesweeper deserves some Smash love… That’ll never happen though.
And I wonder if there’ll be secret 3rd party characters. I’d love it if I weren’t expecting Mega Man in a smash game then unlocking him. maybe something like a Bomberman or some other 3rd party IP could become an unlockable character.
