Regarding the List: Getting “Ashley as an Assist Trophy” right is interesting, but hardly enough on its own to confirm the rest of that as true. It’s really easy to make a wide list of cold-call guesses like that and wind up being right on one. Especially something that obviously plausible. Also, the bit about Ridley being in, with that unusually casual shot at the developers, makes me think it’s a joke list. Since the list as posted didn’t have a date on it, I have to wonder just how much of it is ‘written to be right in hindsight.’ Knowing when it was issued would help clear that up.
Until then, I’d need to see something much more specific and unexpected be confirmed before I would put much faith in that list. If we got Diddy + Dixie as the next reveal, I’d believe it. Otherwise there are a lot of things I find puzzling, like the notion of K Rool being able to KO in two smashes. Even if they’re slow, easily defended smashes (let’s assume they are). Ike could KO in about three hits in Brawl, and the average player had such awful defense that they regularly decried him as ‘cheap.’ Would Sakurai really be crazy enough to put in a character who can KO even faster than Ike did? Not unless he’s putting in downright mandatory lessons on blocking and dodging attacks, I think.
Chrom? What would Chrom add? The series already has two swordfighters, and adding him only serves to promote a game that has already left its primary sales cycle. I’m not going to call this implausible, but I would call it a strange choice on Nintendo’s part. Removing Lyn’s trophy seems silly; she’s basically the series’ mascot in the west due to Fire Emblem 7 being the first one we got to play. I wanted her to be playable (yeah, I know, she does swords too; I think she’d be meaningfully different anyway due to her anime-iaijutsu stuff), not an Assist and then later removed.
“Metaknight will be revealed Summer 2014” - Are you kidding me? There’s a decent chance the game will be out by then. By no means guaranteed, but it’s plausible.
I’m suspicious about this list until either better context is given to show what other things it got right well in advance, or it gets something really big right.

Smash Bros. releasing during the Summer is wishful thinking. I’m going to throw this out there now…whatever is the first release date that gets tossed out by Smash by Nintendo don’t even believe it until it’s within a month. Nintendo has no qualms with pushing the game back for quality purposes if necessary.
Metaknight getting revealed will probably have more to do with Kirby Triple Deluxe’s release in the west more than anything. I highly doubt…no lemme rephrase this…It SHOULDN’T take NOA, NOE, and co 6 months to release Kirby. I had to rephrase though because of the whole Operation Rainfall thing.
Chrom showing up shouldn’t surprise anyone. A ‘leaked’ list with his name on it is quite easy.
I come from Smash. My insights are borne of Smash. When I beat you it is due to the martial skill granted by Smash. It is yomi over oki and SRK at large has no understanding of this game. It’s cute that you tried though.
if anyone remembers brawls roster got leaked months before the game came out, people called it fake because it had sonic and solid snake in it
