I’m just hoping that boxing ring map means we’ll finally be able to play as a certain boxing related character that for too long has yet to be a playable character in Smash Bros… One who’s franchise celebrates it’s 30th anniversary on Feburary… …starts nudging Sakurai.
3DS and Wii U are supposed to have separate experiences and stages. They may share stuff like Battlefield and Final Destination and what not but for the most part the 3DS version will focus more on handheld titles and Wii U will be more home console based. I’m actually wondering if some consumers even realize that since I’ve had one customer come in and claim he had no reason to pick up the Wii U version of the game and he’d be just happy with the 3DS. This isn’t going to be like PS All Stars…there’s actually a good reason to double dip.
You’re making me chuckle and sad at the same time man…there’s no telling when Nintendo will revisit that franchise again but the new punch-out had so much heart.
Still no gameplay videos of this game, except that one match with Sakurai vs a random guy at E3 -_-
I want to see how good Marth is, and to see if he’s still going to be easy mode to play.
Punch Out Wii sold over a million copies which is really impressive for a hardcore Wii title, I think they’ll revisit it at least once this gen, hopefully they do it in 2014 with it being the 30th anniversary of the series and they put Mac in Smash Bros to help promote the title.
