I actually believe Pit’s visual changes had nothing to do with “using the power for something else”, and that it was purely an artistic call. Pit looks “younger”, and more “chibi”, if that description works. He looked older, in the previous render.
Alright i got a stupid question but i need some clearification, are the smash brothers dojo character profile pics in-game or CGI rendered.
In-Game models. Everything is in-game.
I played with items off 4 years before I became a competitive player, and the game that is played with items on isn’t really that balanced, nor does it need to be.
I’d also be willing to bet most people play with items off.
Before I learned about high level Smash, very rarely did my friends and I (or anyone that came to play with us outside that group) use items. Items are fun, but I think most people eventually try to tune Smash to something more serious. Chaotic and random clusterfucks while intriguing, get stale after awhile.

i still don’t know about the whole looking younger…mostly what they did from my point of view is take away some of the detail from his feathers(obvious) and make the model lighter…probably in the way how they have the lighting hitting the character. That may be just me though.
Looks better to me, instead of ‘making him older’ I think they were just trying to better accomplish what they wanted him to look like in the first place.
They better bring back C.Falcon. He was the only person i even played in Smash. I recently started fooling around with Falco but i doubt he’ll be back.
I guarantee he’ll be in Brawl.

lifts an eyebrow…I think I’m out of the loop on that one. but on to more pressing matters. =D…the first update of the week makes me happy…i’m going to look forward to catching people in link’s omnislash of god. Be funny if they added this broken ass move to the sequal of twilight princess as an easter egg or something. Also I bet the more super smashes that i end up seeing the more i’m going to be teetering on the fence on whether i want to attempt to try to play brawl ‘seriously’ or not. I reeally hop some type of middle way is met in the smash community to allow at least this item on other wise i’ll just be playing with items on all day every day just to get the whole 100% experience of the game and how it was intended to be played. Again…just my opinion.

does this mean we are going to have 12 plus days of looking at final smashes? not to mention b moves for everyone -_-…anywho It seems some FS smashes hit one person and others hit all…damn now I want this game even more…this update gets two stars out of five

I had forgotten about those. Almost thought they had too. 
Heh, I wonder… if you have Zelda and Ganondorf on screen (assuming they return), will their Triforce symbols glow when Link uses his Final Smash? (and vice versa?) That’d be a neat little detail.
