Tomorrow is going to be…Fire Flower. I feel it.
I am suprised how much I just laughed after reading that.
THESE PRETZELS ARE MAKING ME THIRSTY.
/rage
I’ll venture a guess for tomorrow’s update…
it will be a new stage, possibly Pitt’s.
Oh snaps, it’s Kirby & Pikachu…
xD
UPDATE
4 control styles!:looney::looney::looney:
This is actually useful information. I didn’t know they would use two styles with the normal controls. I shouldn’t really have expected any explanation of how they work - of course.
wiimote (alone) - Basic style. (think 1 button melee style in SSBM)
wiimote + nunchaku - uh…Mortal Kombat: Armegeddon, anyone? Gesture-style.
classic/snes pad - remapped gamecube buttons-style. possibly beat out GC controller due to it being the best designed conntrolla eva’??? mebee’…
gamecube bird - good ol’ ergonomic, native-style. Can’t mess with the genius.
i guess this update is kinda lame when he doesn’t even go ‘in-depth’ with the play styles, eh? kinda bullshit/lazy update if you ask me.
oh well, i’ll be thunder-bolting with more enthusiasm now.
… probably time to buy some wii-mote grips?
You mean missing the ability to guard and do specials? No thanks.
Hmm…interesting. Well let’s see, you only need a few buttons to play. Standard attacks, special moves, grab, shield & jump. For Smash attacks, use standard attack button.
Wii-mote:
Move with d-pad
1 or 2 = standard attacks
1 or 2 = special moves
A or B = grab
A or B = shield
Wii-mote+Nunchuk:
Move with stick on the nunchuk
A or B = standard attacks
A or B = special moves
C or Z = grab
C or Z = shield
I don’t think you’ll have to move your body around with this type though. That’d be silly
Perhaps you’ll be able to play mini-games in stadium mode (if it returns) using these control types while moving around like a tard.
its cool to see that different control schemes are being used for the game, its too bad the gc controller will stay the standard, since the giant a button under your right finger is incredibly important.
Nifty update compared to the other things imo.
Classic Controller for me!
…seriously.
Finally some useful information, I want to use the classic controller, its sexy to the 3rd.
sweet, I don’t have a wii yet, but I don’t want to have to buy it with a damn gamecube controller to play this game…
Not the earth shattering update I wanted, but useful nevertheless. Now I know that buying new GC controllers is no waste.
I don’t see it as an improvement. Considering we don’t know anything about the updated engine and battling mechanics that could probably still be crappy recovery in comparison to the unreleased elite. If he still had SSBM recovery he’d be turd tier most likely.
I hope so- cuz that’s me birfday!!!:lovin:
hmm 4 ways so you can all get owned…JK…sorry but classic controller for me…
there is a 5 way he didnt mention…the arcade sticks…get a ps2 pad with a gc converter…
anywho I bleck on the update
And (off topic) the 10th year anniversary of FFVII’s release in the US.
back on topic. I’ll be using the classic controller, most likely. I wonder how the Wii-mote will be used since it lacks the analog that the other options have.
Now THIS is a useful update. I know it’s been debatable on the controls, and now we know that every single one is compatible, which is awesome news. I honestly prefer gamecube controllers though. I only had two before, but I just got lucky enough a few nights ago to find two Wavebirds at Wal-Mart for $7.50 a piece, so I’m set. I’ll have to try it out with my classic controller too though.
