That’s the thing. With all the 3rd party hub-bub, it’s easy to lose sight of all the Nintendo-brand characters that deserve a spot in brawl. Little Mac, Ridley, Captain Olimar, Chibi-Robo, Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan, Diddy Kong, or someone from the Advance Wars series, just to name a few.
…seriously.
P.S.: please god announce some more characters soon.
I’d just like some more Earthbound people in there, and not to lose Falco. That’s about all I can think of for Nintendo, other than Lil Mac
Otherwise, seeing the Streets of Rage composer and the NiGHTS composer doing music for the game makes me think that there’s a good chance we’ll get some characters from those games onto the game since both series on the Wii (or will be soon)
closest hint we’ve got to new characters is the composer list. don’t discredit it right away, Sakurai even gives a warning “This is dangerous. It’s a little risky.”
Because they are talented, well-known composers who would add greatly to the soundtrack of the game? I know I’m excited that Michiko Naruke is composing, but it’s not like I expect to see Rudy Roughknight in there or anything. Risky would be having third-party character designers contributing.
It makes a lot more sense, though. More likely it’s not dangerous at all to post the composers because it means exactly what I said, and he did it just to drum up interest/controversy/speculation. While it’s possible that there may be a character or two coming from one of the games to which one of the composers contributed, it’s still not dangerous to post the list because we have no idea which one it will be.
Personally, I’m against 3rd party characters completely (even Snake) because they detract from the Nintendo characters.
EDIT: Crono doesn’t have the ‘h’ in his name, you fuckin’ faux fanboys. :wgrin:
