Since I am laying odds on Nintendo holding off releasing Brawl until at earliest next fall, I don’t think they are going to release too many more trailers all that soon. Maybe a new one every month but otherwise, I don’t think it will be that frequent until closer to its release.
I wonder if they are going to stick to the original promise of it being played only on the Classic controller or are they going to switch it up like they did TP.
Yeah, the brokeness is called Isai, not the engine. There are only a handful of players who can even do half of what he does, unless you’re counting training mode. On a opponent with a brain there are very few practical 0% to death combos. I prefer actual multihittin combos over the situational hits in smash any day.:bgrin:
And it still beats being shine spiked at 7-13% by Fox.:bluu:
Quicky pointless follow up to this post since it will probably be another long while before we get another update on Brawl. A Blue Slime and Jessica from Dragon Quest VIII are in that Mario / Dragon Quest crossover! Plus some other Dragon Quest characters that I’m not exactly sure who they are -
Not that they will be in Smash or anything, hopefully another Sqeenix character can make it in other than Geno though… no Cloud and Sephiroth still don’t have good chances.
Now back to my corner waiting for more Smash news…
^The blue guy with horns in the purpe robes is the Dragonlord, the final boss from the original Dragon Quest. If he was in Smash I’d shit a brick. DRAGONLORD FTW!!!
Oh snap I played that game, the only Dragonquest games I played are DQ1 and DQ8! Just forgot what he looked like since it’s been so long. And oh yeah, Dragonlord was also on Captain N! He was in full-time Dragon mode though all of the time so he was a big red talking Dragon. In the game when Dragonlord turns into a Dragon he’s blue I think.
Am I the only one who’s getting worried that Fox’s facial expression can’t change expressions? He has the same expression throughout the whole trailer, and in both those screens. Hopefully it just means they’re still working on his model/animations.
I played it once at a con, I like how Snake played, with planting a mine, then smashing someone into a mine and setting it off, then smashing again. I didn’t get to play it for long, but I enjoyed the little I did.
Good to see the new screens, I’m starting to like Wario more and more…
Shine cancelling (though very overpowered) was one of the things that made him a really deep and difficult character to use. I don’t think they should remove it as much as they should just reduce the rape factor that it produced. They should just make it so that he can’t kill you in one or two combos from it.
