This 4 message thing is going to go on forever lol. How long can u make ur characters name in Brawl now anyway? Cuz it would be cool if i could put like Lilman[SRK] so we could distinguish on another for online play.
While I agree that the friend code system is stupid I don’t really care about the rest of his points. Online fighters are bad enough as it is without having some dumbass hootin and hollarin and lagging it even more. Also I find him praying for online ranked matches hilarious. Someone that wants online rankings for fighters is either a shut in or a nub or both.
Also macro’ed messages itself isn’t that bad. Anybody in PSO knows how fun messing around with that sort of stuff can be. Specially with the customizable symbols. Nintendo should include that too.
I don’t plan on playing much online myself cause i rather play with my friends or practice for biweeklies.
I just hope they use a skill based AMM system for random playing people. I don’t feel like playing Mew2King and your 4 year old cousin in the same match.

my feelings exactly. even though when I use the similar rivals search in mario kart I end up racing people with 40 losses and 800 wins or shit like that when I only have about 180 wins and 80 losses.

that’s cool…i was just wondering what some of you guys thought about it…you bring up some pretty good points…i especially don’t want some dumbass kids yelling and screaming in my ear or someone accusing me of cheating or being cheap…but maybe we should have that choice ourselves?
I was kind hoping they would have the online set up the way how they did mario kart where if you select Rivals you get people more around your ranking if they had a ranking system. I know i plan on going online cause I wanna play against some of you guys as well as some guys who moved once they graduated. I’m just glad that their is an online period first and formost for the game…the other stuff comes second and if it’s lag-less or lag free then most of the other things that could have or should have been in the game could probably be forgiven…that’s just from my pov. If smash has to miss the boat this time on the ‘great internet’ options then it’s probably not going to bother me much at this point and time…but not being able to see who’s name it is you’re fighting when you’re going against anyone might be a bit annoying…what if there’s this guy you’re fighting who’s really good and you want to play him again?..oh wait no ya can’t cause you don’t even know what the name was or the friend code…that’s just one minor inconvience but it’s still an inconvience none the less. If they had the taunting words available in the play anyone mode there might have been a way to work around it cause you could have had maybe Wii#random code as one of your taunts so that if they wanted to play again you could have gotten it that way…but it’s not. Eh either way i’m gonna have a blast i’m sure of it.
that article was bullshit in my opinion, especially the ranking part. After playing an assload of 3s online you learn how unimportant online ranking is for fighting games. I would be concerned about the fact that you can’t add random people as friends, but with the existence of SRK and plenty of other forums where I can find friends for smash. As for voice chat, I’d rather not have voice chat…halo has ruined that, and it’s not like it’s really needed for a fighting game anyway…that’s what I get for reading IGN
