Anyway, if online mode offers some kind of variation (i.e 1v1 or FFA) That would be more than enough for random battles. As for ranking, Brawl was added to MLG Gamebattles, so that’s already taken care of.

Well the only real use for rankings I could see is for the type of thing Sonichuman was talking about, not rankings really to see who is the best, but more to help matchup people of similar skill levels together.

I could see that happening, but the rankings for online fighting games will always be skewed to hell. Be it from lag, someone else on your account, random exploding boxes, or anything else. I think the best thing that wold help with matchups would probably be setting the options you want to play on (like items on/off) and go from there.
I love the fact that everyone wants sonic in this game so badly…honestly he should be the LAST announcement if he’s in the game…or just kept under wraps.

Brawl’s online system is severely disappointing to me. I’m mostly referring the the brawl against anyone mode. Not being able to see at the very least each others names? Now thats some BS. It’ll still basically feel like you’re playing against the computer since all human elements were taken out of the “fight against anyone mode”, so you won’t get that sensation you get from other online games. I thought Nintendo realized by now that the biggest part of online gaming is human interaction.
Hotness now we can only hope someone puts up a video SOMEWHERE of this game being played in action with him
Of course the items on/off thing would be great…but i’m pretty sure that is probably not the way it’s going to happen…just on a hunch from usually how nintendo works…but eh could be wrong. and even with the random exploding boxes and what not that would probably make up what…maybe 5% of your lost ratio at the most? If a ranking system was still in place you would probably still get someone closer to your skill regardless but hey maybe that’s just me.

I guess that probably would be the best way to go about announcing him but I wonder how many more people would try to run out and get this game if they knew at least 5 weeks ahead of time that he was in? Me personally…I want to see if this game can out beat halo in preorders secretly…i know that’s gonna be tough to do but i just wanna see how microsoft would take that if their precious halo game was out beat in preorders since they’ve been throwing numbers in the other companies faces about this game. I actually think if there was a game to do it it’d be this one. So far my store has a little over 70 preorders and we still have have what?..a lil less than 2 and a half months to go? need at least a 100 and we’ll do a midnight opening…That’s gonna be loads of fun lol especially since i already gotta work halo 3 night ( X.X pray for me…we’re probably gonna have at least 300 people sitting outside our store…and that’s just preorders…WITH FUCKIN LASER TAG OUTSIDE)
