Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii are very amused

:bgrin:

bingo

Wow, on the Wii remote solo play you have to hit the right direction twice and then the 2 button instead of just pressing Right+A ala Cube controller! That sucks.

Also, it’s kinda strange that in order to smash you have to hit 1+2 together. I can see people bitching already about their “fingers slipping” and shit.

It looks like they have to make some useless updates to make sure they have enough content to go until the game comes out.

:party:I was going to say that!

That’s what happens when you’re stubborn and use the worst of 4 possible control schemes ^^

wii remote and nuchunck vs. gamecube controller…lolz

Useless update but mario’s new attack looks dope

It was more like look for as much broken stuff as possible, but yeah. The physics engine needs to be fixed before anything else.

You gotta love the pic with Link and ZSS charging their smashes. Now I just have to wait until E3 in order to see some REAL awesomeness. For now, a profile of Meta-Knight and ZSS would do.

Eh, I was hoping for the How To Play stuff to be merged into a new trailer, but some new stills are good, regardless.

Maybe a new tune or stage to end the week?

We need to get some matches in at LTEC son! Truuuu! :chat:

Believe it or not I see some merit in the single Wii-mote scheme. There’s a certain precision to using a D-Pad for movement and needing two buttons to smash. Almost reminds me of arcade fighters.

I’ll still use the GC pad, though.

Another glorious ZSS ass shot.

good ol chibi and his ZSS…lol…I look foward to pwning her online my friend

I’m not sure if I’d be going online, I’d be pausing the game every two seconds to stare at that ASS.

Link looks uber-cool with his charging smash. Mario’s new F-tilt seems to have a little hop to it, nice.

New easy smash scheme means nothing if the rest of the controls suck.

I’m curious how the Wii remote will be used the most.I’m not the biggest fan of analog but if i have to use it i’ll probably just do classic controller

No you don’t

As do I. The move I want will come out EVERY TIME on digital, while I screw up repeatedly on analog.

Forward + A + B is VERY preferable to JAM Forward + A.

Getting my ‘tilt’ moves to come out in melee is still a chore for me after playing semi seriously for a few weeks. I swear to god it has one of the least intuitive control scemes ive EVER encountered.

What’d be cool is if they allowed you to edit a specific controller type’s control scheme to match the digital-ness of a single Wii-mote. Like, say, setting a Classic Controller to use its D-Pad and two buttons for a smash.

Or a classic controller with D Pad and a button for normals, strong attacks, and smashes each.
