Brawl should be online, that is about the gist of it for me.
oh you mean like using the c stick? No offense to the players who use the c stick for there attacks…i just find it annoying from my pov. To me it’s the same as playing cvs2 eo and using the eo configuration where all of your specials and supers are mapped to one button or flick or having 2 of your buttons set to 3p or 3k because you have trouble doing akuma’s teleport or pulling off level 3 supers in alpha 2. I had this discussion with Moosehummel a while back about it and he says iirc that it allows you to do thing that you wouldn’t normally be able to do especially when it comes to doing meteor attacks that involve dair without fast falling. It also annoys me when i’m doing an attack to someone and they’re just mashing away on the c stick instead of performing the move normally. So that makes me wonder what do you guys actually think about this and should it be included in Brawl?
the cheese-stick has become part of the SSB control configuration. I’d keep it. If you can’t adapt to those who use it, which you should be superior to, then show them which is better.
I actually feel that i do pretty well in high level play for a person who doesn’t use the c stick but eh i could be wrong. I’m the only one out of my group of people that play smash that don’t use it based on how i feel about above. The only character i feel i can do somewhat really decent against spammers who just forward c stick away (marth) and down c stick away (peach) is using Link (shield grab it after they’re done). But that only works for so long for me though.
Well, I did not use to use the c-stick either until I found the benefits of it. Not using extrajumps just to uair, and random other bs. But on the other hand I mastered without using the c-stick either. IMO Falcon is extremely vicious with the c-stick and proper shuffling.
C-stick is useful for other things besides smash attacks.
One good use is when you want to do an up+A aerial attack without accidentally using your double jump. If you press c-up while in the air, you won’t use your double jump (oh the guy above already said it).
There are other uses for it, too.
I understand how someone could be reminded of CVS EO, but it isn’t the same. All the ground attacks done with C-stick are just “normal” smash attacks. They aren’t special moves or supers with complicated inputs required to pull them off and they don’t naturally have invincibility frames.
You can have invincibility frames, but it involves grabbing the edge.
You can also use the c-stick for spiking to prevent yourself from accidentally pressing down too hard on the control stick.

I’m a Falcon player & I use the c-stick for uair & dair. I don’t use the c-stick for smash attacks though because I like to charge mine & do more damage.

that i understand with the whole not wanting to use your second jump and not press down to hard on the control stick but It’s still possible to do both without the aid the c-stick though it’s just harder to do which is one of the reasons why I feel it’s close to being the equal to EO or mapping 3k/3p. I do see where you guys are coming from though.
It’s insane to know that Isai plays without ever using the C-stick. Incredible considering he uses Falcon and pulls some sick SHFFL’D Uair combos with him.
Well it isn’t really harder to do with side+a to fsmash. I’d say using the a button is perferred sometimes too, like if you’re too slow to reach the c-stick to do a rising aerial.
Also I use the c-stick so I can control my di. Without it, Marth’s double fair would be pretty sketchy 
Lol no one in high level play who is decent is mashing the c-stick. I’m not gonna lie its easier without a doubt lol, its imo vital to many characters to be played well. it makes spacing with marth a lot easier thus making your game play faster. in no way is it like maping out specials in CvS2 since the only moves that come out are; Fair, Uair, Bair, Dair, D-smash, F-smash, and U-Smash.
Its not the same to me, it’s not like with fox a two button combo will create the movement of a waveshine. or will just tapping A enable a wobbling to come from a grab. All C-stick does is enable the user to pull out a an arial and smash easier then they normally could.
And to answer you’re question I didn’t mean the c-stick, I mean creating a button configuration that enables you to basically do an infinite flawlessly. C-stick doesn’t enable this at all. If nintendo allowed this for brawl it would be come rather retarded.
C-stick is cool to me. With it you can run directly at an opponent, crouch to cancel and quickly F-Smash them in the face…which you can’t do with the Analog Stick.
What a boring update. The banana peel was more interesting that today’s update. I use to be a table dancer. Zelda looks nice. She is less blonde now and has brown hair. I just wonder what other new items are in the game and if all of them from the first and second SSM will be in the game. Zelda has testies. I hope next week we get to learn more about old characters, and perhaps the revealing of new ones.

Unless you play the game seriously, you’ll never how much you’re actually holding yourselves back by ignoring the c-stick. The c-stick is more than a smash spam device, it’s a tool of effeciency, making not only some potentially problematic techniques managable (short hopped up aerial and down aerials for i.e.), but offering denser variety and more precise control in general. Some things are literally impossible to do without the aid of the c-stick.
Unless your name is Isai, whatever character you play isn’t being utilized anywhere near their potential if you’re not using the c-stick. Hell, you’re general gameplay in Smash is coming up short in general.

I used to do think the same way about the C-stick. I swore that i could do C.Fal combos without it easily…until i actually used it. I makes u much more dangerous. Try it before say its “cheap”. If anybody is losing to c-stick spammers anyway, they suck and should just stop playing.
Yep. Like I said, things that are literally impossible to do (like the aforementioned dashing Smash Attack) are possible with C-Stick. That alone makes me consider it as more than a “scrub’s tool”.

It’ll be great if players get stunned for a few seconds because of the “smell”, but with that explosion, it looks like it can kill.
