Pathetic -
Fuck out of here.
Although I in no way support Embryo’s super-pessimism to say that wavedashing wasn’t necessary is completely false, unless you play around people who aren’t that skilled.
Wavedashing was the main reason characters like Dr.Mario, Mario, Samus, Ganon could even compete on a fair level versus higher tiered characters. It provided them with the extra mobility and speed needed as well as pseudo range for stubby characters like Doc.

One of Meta Knight’s Alt’s.
Edit
The vid Doku linked shows Samus in what looks like a Fusion Color alt costume. =)
I know; it almost made me want to pick her
Thanks for the link! It looks like Zamus’ FS doesn’t do damage. I like the Fusion palette the player picked.
Pit’s FS does a lot of damage! Against a single opponent, it seems it’ll be devastating.
Oooh imagine if they included Oni Link, that would be even cooler!:wow:
Oh, so those are the vids that my brother called “UNWATCHABLE”. Why, I asked? “Because some bitches in the background can’t keep their mouths shut like they should.”
Thanks for the links though . I’ll just turn down the volume.
LOL the one Deathreaper posted… “SONIC!!! YEAH!!!” gd bitch FALCON PUNCH’ll be knocking out your teeth if you don’t stfu.
Oh and Ike’s Final Smash is rape-age. I seriously would fear that attack if can be comboed into!!!:looney:
WOOO!!! I did NOT know…that Link’s final smash was THAT FUCKIN FAST. and 66%!? jesus! Definitely GGPO. Same for fuckin Ike…71% damage lol That shit looked beast! That and Giga Bowser’s forward smash stayed out there forever. Oh and i forget if kirby’s in the demo or not…if so where’s his final smash at?

O.O @ lava swells…and from the looks of things E for all needs a nice looonng flight of stairs…
“PIKACHUUUUUUUU…OOOOOOWWWWWW!!!”
That announcer chick really wants to a eat a 2X4 with a rusty nail in it.:bluu:
Dima: Are you some kind of crack fiend?
You play Marth. One of the best wavedashers in the game. And one of the characters that benefitted the most from it.
wtf is wrong with you?
Edit: Also you guys need to chill back on this ink drop thing. Calling the community stupid and what not. It’s not that serious. Relax people. Call it w/e you want. Personally I called it Fall cancelling on smashboards and alot of people liked it.
I don’t recall anyone calling the community stupid.
[EDIT] Vid confirms the guy from Destructoid, who claimed Pikachu’s Final Smash did 600% fucking damage, is a moron.
Shade: I do think a few did. I know BlodiaVulcan did.
Just saying that people should relax over something as silly as what the technique will be called.
Man those bitches running the tourney at E for All need The Stairs treatment. “PRESS ONE!!!11111111”.
ugh, to think i might have gone to an anime convention this weekend and have heard girls like that… i remember going to quakecon and playing Rainbow 6 against a “fragdoll”, and damn was she annoying, i sat next to her, and everytime she would see someone in the game, she would just start shrieking…and then she beat me and the other 5 guys competing.
Those videos were epic, cant wait for some more! Link’s final smash scares me… “come over here!..no? well, ill come over there!” (no homo).
also, its funny, yesterday i was thinking of other things to call inkdropping, no offense to the guy who tripped first, but eh. tripping is good, i was going for stumbling, but tripping hits the nail on the head.
it’s kinda funny people are rejoicing that l-canceling and wavedashing is out and claim that Sakurai is simplifying the game but don’t quite get that pivoting and moonwalking are still in . Pivoting and moonwalking are much more technical and harder to implement into serious play. if those techniques come to be the new dominant techniques then those that had problems with l-canceling and wave dashing are going to hit their heads against the walls trying to learn how to pivot and moonwalk.
Yes he does but that’s besides the point. The point is people are claiming that Brawl is returning to the N64 roots well Isai knows what works in high level 64 and he expressed some concerned about Brawl so it’ll be interesting to see what he says about the game. Isai by far has the greatest aptitide for dissecting smash.
Moonwalking is back?! Where the fuck is Captain Falcon now!!! Seriously this is taking way to long.
Well I can’t say that I disagree. However, I referring directly to his post not the overall representation that Isai’s analysis would generate.
Moreover, I’m eagerly awaiting a genuine analysis of the juggle system. SSBM had a watery feel with their juggle/hit system which was one of the main reasons I preferred SSB64, which allows a variety of complex combos from multiple angles. I hope this quasi-resurgence of the 64 style will bring back that system in some form.
