Super Smash Bros. Brawl thread v2. wii want it now

they are attempting to balance the game compared to Melee, and you guys are complaining about it?

criminey! /puts people on ignore list

all they need to do now to make me very happy is make Toad a playable character

On a side note those same ‘mechanics’ that were doing such a great job are for the most part unintentional…(i.e. of course…wave dashing). And i’m sure that Brawl will have something of the same in terms of ‘mechanics’ as well…just about every fighting game does.

I was never complaining about balancing, I was complaining about wavedashings absense which actually helped the games balance…so chill BlodiaVulcan5. Well I still wonder why Sakurai made the game slower though, I thought the games speed was perfect in melee.

complaining about a un-finished game makes people sound like fucking kaka

Okay.
64-wasn’t rushed. good game all characters were good no one sucked. not even kirby who was a beast.
Melee-rushed. still a good game. But 2/3 of the roster wasn’t even viable for 5 years in tourney-play, and still isn’t. Half of everyones moves suck ass.
Brawl-wasn’t rushed/still completing. from what I heard and seen. The only ones that even have the thought of sucking in the real game is Ike and Fox. And it aint like you can’t play Fox like he did in Melee. Just no waveshining.
Stop Fucking Complaining–you’ll have plenty of time to break the game in.

all the competitive players get asshurt becuase of some changes that so far look to balance the game and stir up the roster a bit.

oh yeah, fuck that “ink drop” mess, stupid name for a engine exploit that only a few people have exprienced.

my favorite part, is that actually means, “breaking the game” lol

i cant wait to see what some people come up with by the time e for all ends, and then wait and see if all they see stays in or not, i mean brawl is pretty much done (some guys said this, but i dont remember how true it was), but it was pushed back two months so who knows. Can’t wait for tomorrows vid uploads either.

The game is turning out to be great for everyone. Wavedashing is gone from Brawl. However, all the functions that wavedashing brought to the game are still around, but they have become simpler to do.

Well… maybe not simpler, but its not all about rapid button pressing anymore.

So everyone will have an equal learning curve to the top like all the casual players wanted, but it didn’t come with any loss of depth just like what the tournament players wanted. So everything is good with all sides.

Here is the low down on one of the most revolutionary additions to Brawl that have yet to be shown on the Dojo!

What is this? A Dojo update on the weekend?! Impastabowl!

There are more new tactics that will help out. But I am sure you don’t mind waiting a little longer to get another update like this.

Although I will miss the speed, the one positive about the game speed being slower is that it might make powershielding appear more frequently during competitive play. Im hoping Sakurai will actually fine tune this mecahnic into a “parry system” or even something like a JD. on another note, I hear ZSS samus is pretty slick like shiek. Im hoping she isnt only playable through the final smash…otherwise we will never see her during tourney play.

thats the tactic that douche Ink tried to claim his own by calling it the “ink drop”. im fucking glad he wont callthat shit that. stupid smash community.

anyway, if you shift the wieght momentum of your character in the opposite direction, instead of back sliding you end up tripping. this will probably happen only on a run animation, not a dash. it can be useful for footsies and make the other guy wiff tilts and smashes, as rolling has recovery and sidestepping has recovery also.

also, tripping into a crawl will be really useful.

Haha. Yea, trying to name a feature in the game (not even a damn glitch) that will probably get a REAL name from Sakurai = douche.

I feel Tripping is the best term for it for now. Cannot wait to see what an official update will call it.

I like how Ink Drop sounds… haha, but damn, it does not fit something like this, nor is it fair to call such a basic tech after a player.

No one will call tripping, and rolling an “Ink Drop”. It’s just not gonna happen.

Hmm, somebody break down that ink drop thing again please?

Seems when you run fast, and sharply turn the stick in the opposite direction, your character will go into a slip/tripping animation, which can be rolled out of, it seems.

Some fheg is trying to coin it the “Ink Drop”, since the first guy whom he saw do it, goes by the name “Ink”, which happens to be his friend.

I think that’s it.

Funny you mention him since Isai likes 64 WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than Melee and it doesn’t have Wavedashing.

The only characters game it really helped was fox’s and he didn’t need the help.

In reality you don’t even need to wavedash, its more a less the poor mans pivot. >_>

Poor man’s pivot? Im a smash scrub, but explain that please.

And didn’t dorf benefit from WDing?
