man, so last night when the intro was leaked, into the mad new character frenzy, then waking up for more awesome surprises, and to top it off, its Two Piece Tuesday at Popeye’s!!

Everyone ignore Embryo. If you haven’t realized it already, he’s a pretty annoying troll who originated on Gamefaqs and pissed off everyone there by posting pointless rants and useless information. He did the same thing on Smashboards too (if I recall correctly), and now he’s doing it on SRK.

I think out of all of the confirmed characters I’ve seen so far, Toon Link looks the most intriguing. I wonder how different he is from Link. . .hopefully, he has his own unique moveset.

Do you really think that there aren’t more characters unlockable through places other than the SSE? Just MAYBE? 35 may not be the end roster. What if another character is unlocked that isn’t wolf? Then your whole plan goes out the window. The screen can shrink to fit in more characters. Give it time before you make judgements. Sakurai said before that about 65% of the cast or something like that would be unlockable through SSE. Just wait and see.

It is over. There were two leakers a month ago predicting everything we have seen so far, even down to the order in which the character select is layed out. The only thing they leaked that hasnt been seen yet is Wolf O’Donell aka “Star Wolf”. First comes denial, then comes anger. Don’t let that be you.

It’s just kind of funny how peeps think this game is fanservice when obviously Sak has not given the fans everything they want (still don’t see megaman or any other 3rd party char or orch music). Plus I don’t think people realize how damaging the absence of WD is to the game’s potential growth in the competitive scene…cause if ur all just looking at this as a party game then why the hell r we talking about it in a forum for fighters. The game is lacking on the gameplay front and I feel very ripped off by the char roster number…why couldnt it be 50 like sak promised.
eh I ain’t gonna get mad if it’s just 35 cause i’m happy with what we got right now…I’m just sceptic since it’s only been a day and a half

Hmm… looks more like the Floating Island to me (covering Angel Island, Hydrocity, Marble Garden, Carnival Night, Ice Cap, Launch Base, Mushroom Hill, Sandopolis, Lava Reef, Hidden Palace and Sky Sanctuary).
Reason I say that is because Nintendo’s trying to keep it old-school as much as possible. Also, it doesn’t look like what’s seen in Sonic Adventure.
It was in one of his early interviews when they asked him bout the roster of brawl. He said he would include double the number of chars from melee, but obviosuly it seems he lied and went back on his word. He also swore he wouldn’t include clones yet here we r again with fox/falce, ganna/falco and so on…looks like a lot of broken promises. Oh he also said there would be two more addition 3rd party chars aside from snake. Oh and as far as gameplay is concerned it plays more like SB64 then melee…sooo yeah.
That’s cuz it IS fanservice. Just because some individuals are still po’d about some characters getting in/out doesn’t make it any less of a “fanservice” game.
I mean, shoot, I’m sad that Ridley’s not playable, and some one obscure like Takamaru didn’t make the cut. But I can’t fight that the overall package deal is a hot piece of software that caters directly to my inner Nintendo-fanboy. And that’s what Smash is all about.

The lack of WDing is not going to destroy the game’s credibility in the competitive scene. If nothing else, it won’t be long until they probably find something else to utilize/exploit.
Besides, most pros will tell you that WDing is a useful facet, but not nearly as important to the overall competitive smasher’s bag of tricks as some random n00b may think it is. Its. absence is not going to change the fact that Smash Brawl will still be very much a game where the one who has the skills with his character and the mind games to annex that, will triumph.
WHAT game play front? And where did Sakurai “promise 50 characters”, exactly? Link please. He never explicitly stated/promised more 3rd party characters either. His last quote on the matter was that he would “think about it”.
And furthermore, just because characters are back, in no way means that they are clones. Or have you seen footage that no one else has seen?

Well including rob the jackass over someone like megaman doesnt make a lick of sense and certainly doesnt give the fans wat they want. Now the exact quote from sak escapes me but ill look for it a little later on in the day when i get the time. Now with the gameplay, it might be hard to explain the importance of WD’s to casual fans like the one’s on this board so all i can suggest is to play melee more competivly, watch high level matches and talk to pro’s about this matter to understand were im coming from. Brawl plays a bit like SB64 and lacks the depth and skill of melee…basically its like a better SB64 but lesser melee.
hold up i’m confused… how is the charcater roster complete… what about the glowing guy… and ridely(whatever his name is) i see them in that weird sse thing like the others so aren’t they playable… and if so shouldn’t petey be playable… i have to admit the cat who said it’s only been a day of info is right… it can’t be that easy to unlock all the content… i mean i still haven’t unlocked everything from melee j/k…
