Like someone said earlier the accuracy from the prediction in http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/3678/finalrosterxc6.png is just too much to be a coincidence. that probably means there will be 35 characters but one can hope. I personally am holding out that somehow Primeape makes it into the game.
Well if it’s any consolation, the names differ from the actual screens, although it’s obvious the screen there is for an american version where as the ones we’ve been looking at are for the japanese console. But note how that says Bowser and how the japanese one says Koopa. Jigglypuff is Purin, etc etc. Why would the American version have leaked before the japanese one?
Also note Zelda’s missing sheik, there is no random select box, and much of the menu and side portions of the screen is missing.

I think you’re looking too far into that. The guy made that mock up to show who will be in, and where they will be at on the screen. Miscellaneous stuff like Zelda missing Sheik in the portrait misses the point of the mock up, and should be of little (make that no) concern. 
You’re kidding, right? I mean, you’re not serious at all about the rosters having any differences, right? Because, aside from R.O.B. and C. Falcon being switched, the rosters are identical. If you place Wolf in between DeeDee and Lucario, it shifts the row over and Bowser down, matching them up perfectly.
Unless you’re pointing out portrait discrepancies, in which case I’m positive no one ever claimed the leaked roster was an actual screen shot; but rather a crafted image to illustrate the point.
Haha I probably am looking too far into it, but what if he knew this 35th character would be tough to unlock and said that to jerk our chains and get us sweating? Probably not but there are people like that out there.
Yea. It’s just a mock up. The dude never said it was real (not that anyone would believe it, since the shop is bad quality, and a quick romp through Google land will show the source images used).

Can you provide concrete evidence that Sakurai promised 50 characters, orchestral music, and Megaman? If so, present it.

i didn’t say it was a pic of the actual screen from the game. I said it was a prediction and like someone said if you add wolf to the latest legit roster screen it shifts everyone over and except for captain falcon and rob the placing are then identical.
Ok here is my last little bit of hope for you guys.
This is the save screen and it shows you your characters unlocked and the progress made. Go through the little icons on that and notice that there’s SO much room for more characters to fill up down there. Also notice that even with all those unlocked, it’s only at 59% complete.

Take it as you will but I still say that’s the best evidence we got for more characters.

There are 19 character unlocked so far in that pic, and it’s already 59% complete. If there are truly 35 characters then that means there should only be 16 more characters too unlock, which easily fills in that extra 41%. So this supports more toward the 35 roster theory.
19 characters at 59% means that there’d be 32 characters total and that’s obviously wrong.
I don’t think the percentage goes by characters, Monte. It’s percentage of SSE completed.

Actually yeah I just counted, there’s 18 in the first row and enough room for 18 on the bottom, so there’s a total of 36, assuming all those slots fill.
Well the screen shows 19 characters at 59%, so there really can’t be that many more characters than the number that was predicted.
who knows what it means. All I know is it doesn’t suggest anything one way or another.
