Finding glitch that allows you to do something the game did not intend = breaking the game. That’s what it’s literally called in game testing, when you go looking for bugs you’re breaking the game.
But if you wanna get into broken characters as a result of WD…Fox anyone? Without waveshine he isn’t remotely as good.

Then one person will come around, own every for free just 'cause it’s Sunday, and then everyone will be trying to play Olimar.

Yeah, update was lackluster, but I don’t even care anymore; in a week or so, we’ll be able to know everything there is about the game anyway, rendering (most) DOJO!! updates useless.

I quit for the for the same reason, the game was more about “Who can Snake the best” rather than “who can race the best.” Yeah this is completely different from wavedashing on every level. Wavedashing won’t give you wins.
Problem is even if it is incredibly strict the .000001% of the population (like those freaks who Powershield on the regular) could still take advantage.

Here you’re arguing semantics. Most people relate “breaking the game” with “making it unplayable”, but whatever. In my books, wavedashing, on the whole, does not make the game unplayable.
I’d even go so far as to agree with the previous poster that it’s not even that good. A lot of hype was put about it by the smash community - specifically, the FG rookies who’ve only ever played Smash, and that, in most cases, aren’t even any good. I’m serious, rarely, outside of IC, do you see players benefiting from wavedashing. Even with IC, sensible players don’t often let the WD approach work. Dash dancing is a MUCH more useful technique on the whole.
Fox is the exception, not the rule.
MLG banned the fuck out of everything he could “exploit” anyway and he’s STILL top. With run offs out of the picture, waveshining is much less effective than the other tricks Fox has up his sleeves anyway. Lord knows I’d much rather deal with waveshines than Up air shenanigans.
WDing is overrated. Mostly by morons who use it to think it automatically makes them a good player and by scrubs who don’t want to or can’t do it.
I just think it needed to be gone because that’s not the way the game was meant to be played.
I will agree it doesn’t need to be in the game. For some characters (or indeed, players who insist on using it) it just makes the game look stupid.
I would prefer not to see those crazy glitches in the game.

I have a card for 120 game dollars, and I would most want to use them towards a Wii purchase instead of a bunch of Wii related things.

If I got a Wii I’d probably buy No More Heroes, or at least borrow from my Wii having friend who is probably going ot buy it.

I think that is why the game is selling out everywhere. People with Wii’s have probably been bored as hell since Mario came out so when a game that is somewhat good is available they are going to eat it up. Or maybe I am wrong and No More Heroes only came in tiny quantities because everyone thought tit was going to sell like ass, or maybe something else. It doesn’t really matter.
Brawl is probably going to sell 3 million copies or something the first day. Niggas can’t play Wii Sports forever. 'Nawmean?!?

Anyway. Im glad to see WD out. I remember being a part of the begining of the changes that basically made up the competitive Melee rule set we have today. And I was there when WD, Dash Dancing, and other shit they gave names too were just being discovered and/or coined. Back then, I felt WD was ridiculous(I was a Link player)…of course back then I was also a living room scrub abusing the fuck out of sheild grabbing and rolling/dodging…A much simplier time My how its all changed.

I wish I could help you get a Wii but the problem is that I can’t. Wii’s come in…and they are gone QUICK. It’s first come first serve too. I’m actually pretty satisfied with the amount of good games on the wii considering that I have a DS as well and college to worry about and I plan on picking No More Heroes whenever we get them back in stock.
The only thing I can tell you is if you’re looking for Gamestop you’re gonna have to show up at the right place at the right time on the WEEKDAYS. And it usually tends to be in the morning. When it’s not the weekday we usually don’t get shipments so try the other places (best buy, target, wal-mart etc). And they mostly come in the mornings.

Seriously, I know how it is too. During Christmas season I was at a Gamestop and they said they’d be getting a shipment, but they doubted it was going to be Wiis. They said to stick around until 11 AM anyway (it was 9 AM at the time). So I was walking around everywhere and by chance happened to be back there at 11 and there was a line. I got in line in the off chance they had Wiis (at this point, they still didn’t know). They finally came out and said they had 6 Wiis. I was the eighth person in line :sad:
Anyway, about Brawl. I’m still holding out for Ridley, but the 35 character roster is looking more and more true. Just Ridley man. I already got everyone else I wanted (Meta Knight, Sonic, D3), just one more…
Also, I don’t care about spoilers now (the month delay killed that) except for SSE spoilers. Better spoiler tag that shit.
I love that taking out WDing only really hurt the characters that I hate I.E Fox and IC’s.
