I did and it looks like it can work, but I cannot get Stone Smite > Rolling Hook to work (it always goes under). Any chance you can make a short how to vid on that?

It might also we worthwhile to figure out all the characters you can hit a string on after a meteor smash so we can better utilize this tech.

Oh no you can’t link those two in the corner, even when I used the backdash Roll Hook technique. You got to Stone Smite, Stone Dunk, then Roll Hook.

I guess I’m gonna have to do that since it is new tech that my friend told me and I didn’t expose too much on. Looks like I need to delay the guide for one more day.

Will there also be anything on the corner meteor smash combos since you can do them off throws and have that loop in XF2 and XF3? If you need a list of characters that you can attack after the meteor smash in the corner, I can try to put one together for you tomorrow.

How about canceling the charged specials into command grabs against blocks or advancing guard?

Well that’s what I’m gonna cover now since this seem probable in a real match. I was gonna release my new guide tomorrow, but I’ll delay it one extra day. I just need to know who can be juggled after a corner meteor smash. So far I know Thor, Vergil, and Nova can be combo’d after. Once I have this info, I’ll put it in the guide and it’ll be complete.

Umm, you can only cancel the sweep and st. H and I already showed that in my vanilla guide.

You can add Doom to that list. I will check more tomorrow for you.

Went back and checked the guide from Vanilla and while I saw you listed the jump cancels I did not see anything about using Stone Smite to hit someone while blocking and then doing a jump cancelled command grab. Even if the opponent push blocks you can still grab them. Its interesting because as soon as you input the jump you stop being pushed back, meaning that you can stone smite to a L command grab whether they push block or not. Its really useful and really nice.

The thing is, that’s not probable because no one is going to let you fully charge a Smite or Flame Sweep. That’s means you need to lockdown someone first so they can’t pushblock you, and you need an assist that hopefully does not end up you getting both of you punished. That’s why I didn’t go over it and it’s not recommended. Until I play a match where I can fully charge a stone smite in front of someone then I’ll put it up.

So far I got:
Doom, Wesker, Zero, Sentinel, Taskmaster, Chris, Spencer, Haggar, Vergil, Dante, Thor, Nova, Hawkeye, Hulk, Ryu, Dorm, Wolvie, Strider, Nemesis.
Didn’t work on: Ammy, Akuma, Magneto, Capt. Am, Trish, Felicia, C. Viper, Frank West.

I didn’t do them all yet, but i’m saving this right now for future reference.

What about something like :l::m::a1:and charge. If its something like Frank Shopping cart it gives you the time to charge up.

There are setups for C Viper’s focus attack unblock able so why not this? Cold Star maybe?

The thing is, Viper’s is unblockable and has a failsafe option where she can cancel to ex seismo, plus her move has armor where Skrull has none. Plus you making a risk by trying a reset that could get you killed if missed since you already used your assist to cover you.

Its not a reset, its a combo starter from a block. Have you looked at it? Its very hard to miss if timed correctly. Since the timing is off Skrull’s Stone Smite its actually easy to get consistently as well.

So I got that combo to work.

Throw, Meteor Smash, c:l:,c:m:,c:h::s: SJ, AD, :h::s:, Stone Smite, Stone Dunk, Rolling Hook, Meteor Smash, Inferno: 547,500

Throw, Meteor Smash, Inferno does 456,500

First combo does about 90,000 more and builds a ton more meter.

Haven’t landed it yet, but I am insane enough to try (will do more damage).

Throw, Meteor Smash, c:l:,c:m:,c:h::s: SJ, AD, :h::s:, Stone Smite, Stone Dunk, Rolling Hook, Charge c:h:, Orbital Grudge :m:, Fatal Buster, Inferno.

Also found a 581,000 that you can do straight from the corner. I may have to do a Skrull throw video when I get my capture device.

If someone could please check Shuma and Jill (I haven’t DLed them yet). Also, it seems in XF1 this works on all characters.

Rolling Hook, Meteor Smash, c:l:,c:m:,c:h:,:s:, SJ, AD, :h::s:, Stone Smite, Stone Dunk, Rolling Hook, Meteor Smash xx Inferno in XF1 (activated before the combo started) does 1,141,300.

Just found an interesting combo that can be done anywhere on the screen from a command grab that allows you to DHC to Frank for an instant level 5. Very interesting.

:qcb::atk: jump, ad, d:h:, dash, :s: :m::m::h::s: Stone Smite jump cancel Inferno (if going full screen you can AD into this, if in the corner you can jump up and hold them in the corner). Useful for everyone I’m sure and can of course be modified for damage by shortening the air string and following up with Rolling Hook, Meteor Smash xx Inferno after the Stone Smite as well. I’ll see if I can make a video of it when I get my recorder :slight_smile:

How come no one told me that Skrull can follow up after a backward ground throw in XFC 3? >_>

One issue I’m having problems with is Stone Smite>Stone Dunk>Rolling Hook. Every time I try to do it, the Rolling Hook goes under the character as in Skrull will do the move under the character causing him to put himself in the corner. Any suggestions on timing or what I may be doing wrong? Thanks guys.

Tap forward twice as the Stone Dunk hits the opponent, then tap forward and H as you hit the ground. I’ll see if I can record up one with input display to show you all.
