New Ninji Speedrun is up! This time you play as Link!
Plant Gang 2? PLANT GANG 2!
84P-4HB-QNG
Been wanting to do a follow up to my Plant Gang level. This time, the setting is SMB3. I actually reached a few part limits when I was making this course early last week and had to remove some sections or shorten them. This is one of those stages where I didn’t really hit any major road blocks and ideas were always at the ready.
SMB: Lost Levels-ish
QCW-YLP-XOH
As the name suggests, this level was inspired by The Lost Levels, the only SMB game I despise. Regardless of my thoughts on the game, I know it had its fans so I thought I’d take a stab at making a level to emulate said game’s style. We got super aggressive Piranha Plants, tons of Hammer Bros., hidden blocks required to progress and in some spots, tight enemy placement. As I was makong this level, I think I realized that as much as I hate Lost Levels, I can appreciate the games push to cater towards more experienced Super Mario players and it maybe, just maybe where some of my inspiration comes from when making hard levels.
Finished the first and last run of the new Ninji run. Cool ideas and novelty, but not feeling it.
Boo’s Mansion
88H-NP8-DXF
My first Ghost House course in SMM2. Even for the standards of some of my courses, this one is pretty large. I ended up using a ton of space both for the main and sub portions of the level. May have to do a bit of thinking to reach the exit but nothing complicated.
Right now I have so many ideas for levels. I kinda wish my brain would stop so I could play other games and focus on other stuff but man, SMM2 is really, really fun. I had to force myself to stop playing it so I could work on Ori and the Blind Forest.
SMM2 has reached a milestone of 10 million levels being uploaded.

Conveyor Chaos 2
VYM-M30-0NF
My original Conveyor Chaos course got a good amount of hearts, so I figured I’d make a sequel. The addition of Spike’s projectile made for some fun hazards. If you can hang on to your power-ups, you can fly over some sections. Power ups are plentiful here with the exception of the last stretch. There are also some secrets. Some, I tip the player off, others, not so much.
Here’s a charity speed run marathon for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Two teams of the best Mario Maker players/content creators in a blind race. Super awesome stuff here.
Versus #1: Flagpole Race
FV9-CX0-HBG
The first level I made with multiplayer versus in mind. This is a standard SMB level that you can speedrun through. I did several test runs and found that the one warp pipe I included shaves a lot of time off the clock. The level also works well for solo players. I finished making this course on very little time but I really like how it turned out.
Got sub 35 seconds on the latest Ninji run. It’s a Cat Mario level in 3D World style. Pretty fun, but not my favorite.
Man, I need to finish up a couple levels I’ve had sitting there. I might have some time later this week to get in and do that.
New Ninji Speedrun is up. This time it’s finally a Super Mario World level!!
New Ninji Speedrun course is pretty lit.
Forgot to drop this course I uploaded a week ago on you guys.
Breezy
S12-1TT-5NF
Always wanted to play around with the wind that comes with night time NSMBU style. The constant wind blows can help and hurt you here. I don’t think this one is too tough but I added more power-ups for struggling players, including a Propeller Mushroom.
For you guys who like to play traditional Mario games, this guy makes some really good levels. And he created a whole, 40-level game in the 3DW style. Check the video out, and if you’re bored and looking for some quality Mario, give it try.
While working from home, I’ve been able to work on another course. This is inspired by levels like 1-4 and
3-6 from SMB3.
SMB3 Throwback: KK8-FS5-96G
150 coins are required, but it’s possible to get 200 if you’re a Mario Master, like me
@ReggieH hey I finally caught up and played the levels you made that I hadn’t gotten to yet. Good stuff, man! I really liked the SMW castle level with the saws. Seemed like it could be an official level in SMW.
Thanks, man! I went in designing that level based off the name. That one jump early on with the buzz saw originally didn’t have coins as a guide to show where you should initiate your jump. I added them later but I still had struggled a bit so I decided to keep them there and intentionally gave the players power-ups later so they couldn’t cheese it.
I’ve also got more SCs in the works. I’m working on a sequel to TOTALLY TUBULAR.
Posting the video here, too.
@ReggieH I can’t wait to see what you come up with, man! I’ll be making a world for sure.
I am so freaking stoked for this update, my guy! I may have to scrap what I have for SUPER TUBULAR and recreate from the grouns up! The P-Balloon is something I’ve wanted since the first SMM. It may work differently or may not be the same but I am all for it all the same.
The Frog Suit opens up the floodgates for water levels. That was the missing ingredient for a lot of people. I would loved to see the Hammer Suit but the Frog Suit is something I will take without hesitation.
When I watched that trailer I knew this would be you, chadouken.
Of course if I’m being honest, that was me as well.
I’m already working on my 1-1 level right now while I “work from home” LOL.
Some good shit here!!
Ryukahr is my favorite Mario streamer. Dude puts out consistently good content.
