Against Bison, i test some stuff against his EX moves like devil reverse, do : walk forward, coward crouch xx elec, his move will whiff and he wil eat the elec.
A good reversal if Bison is spamming lk scissor kicks is standing mp counter hit into lp > beast roll. Good against aggressive dictators.
After a blocked LK Scissor, all pokes seems good to counter his pressure, i like to use stand LP xx Ball (confirm), but yes standing MP is good too, standing HP, crouching HP & MP etc… scissor in fact don’t have a great hitbox.
Also, elec seems good too to beat his scissor or trade.
What’s the best way to avoid EX Karakusa (SP? Grab)? I don’t play the Makoto match too often, but I am decent at it until Makoto gets meter and I often get EX Grabbed into Ultra. What’s the best strategy to use when Makoto has EX Meter and Ultra?
Neutral jump, quick pokes to counter her dash like cr.lp, stand lp etc…, back dash, ex upball but very risky, ex rainbow ball but it’s slow.
On her wake up, close 2 hits moves will beat her EX Karakusa, so use close mk and overhead.
Don’t know if you can safe jump her U2, don’t remember the exact start up.
Can you neutral jump her though? Won’t she just absorb the neutral jump hit (likely jump HK) and EX grab you? Her super fast dash in conjunction with her EX grab is what makes it frustrating to me.
No, if you neutral jump (neutral jump so no jump with a normal, just jump forward), her throw will whiff and you can punish her with a full combos at the end of your jump.
React to her dash is frustrating yes i know, anticipate with quick pokes like i wrote is essential.
Makoto is still hard since AE i think, not awful but something like 6-4 for her, you need to play very smartly against her.
on her wakeup make her respect cl.mk as it beats ex karakusa cleanly. You can also throw her out of it.
now in neutral your best bet is to just keep her out and make her run into stuff before she can get close enough. neutral jumping isn’t bad but the threat of dash up, wait, reaction fukiage can be a problem.
