What’s the best and most damaging bnb for Strider w/o having the orb already installed? (w/o the use of assists as well)
There are two that i like to use quite often which nets around 650-660 that i got from SaishuuKessen Strider solo combo videos.
The first i use is at the 1:43-1:54 mark and nets 650-660k which is not bad for Strider solo 1 bar

The next is at the 1:34-1:49 mark which does 640-660k sans the lvl3 ragnarok

Alright I’m trying to do the guide’s midscreen Strider BnB which is something like :l::h:cr.:h:f.:h::s:
xx double jump :h: :s: Formation B summon, shot, wall cling :l:
:h: xx :h: gram, summon Formation B, :l: gram xx Formation B shot, :h: vajra xx super.
So there’s two problems I have when doing this combo. First of all, you basically need the cr.:h: f.:h: in there in order to get the opponent to the correct height for the OTG -> wall cling, right?
Secondly, I can never get the shot to combo. I think I’m cancelling :l: gram too soon into the shot so the shot connects too early. But I was just hoping someone could confirm that the :l: gram Formation B :h: gram ender works at the end of that combo.

Instead of doing j., doublejump, j.:h:, j.:s: just do j.
, j.
doublejump, j.:s: it more consistent, but you lose a little damage.
And that ender is height dependent I think, not to sure as I don’t use it
To the first question, no you dont need the cr.:h:f.:h: for the OTG wall cling but strider needs all the dmg he can do, once you do formation B shot do wall cling immediately it should almost feel like one motion. For the second, After you do the :h: gram after the wall cling series when yo do the:l: gram after the wall bounce you dont need to do the shot so quickly remember L gram causes a hard knockdown so that gives you plenty of time to shoot it.
Heres a Strider combo video from SaishuuKessen pay attention to the combo that starts at 1:41, the end of that combo shows you the part your having some difficulty on. Watch it so you can get the timing down, i hope it helps.

I’ve posted tons of shit that builds a bar. It’s not hard. Best bet is to go for a reset and get even more bar/dmg and confirm a kill.

I figured out that off a wall cling Formation C (Dday bird) you can actually wall cling, immediately dismount, and juggle a s.l or s.m for a full combo. I was sick of not getting to do a full combo because I used the ground bounce to convert. I’m not sure if it’s safe on block if you dismount though. You won’t get punished probably but you will lose momentum.
You can also do some stuff like formation c/formation a2, wall cling m xx l excalibur, land s.m but your spacing and timing has to be perfect.
Or you could do bnb into h gram , s formation summon, l gram, release, vajra. It builds a bar I’m sure.

You have enough time off a grounded h gram to summon an orb before the l gram? I assumed you couldn’t.
Also do you dash at all after L gram? I’ve been dashing before L gram because it’s hard to hit with the tip of L gram at max range but that makes the vajra finisher not possible right?
Yeah you can. People don’t typically because it takes execution and knowing the spacing and hardly anyone plays strider well anyway. There’s many setups with assists also that allow you to have an orb up before the end of the combo thus making l gram, s formation shot, vajra much easier

No, don’t dash. You need to be almost maximum distance but not quite. The shot and vajra need to hit at the same time pretty much. Hit stun scaling is too high at that point to late link it.

I’m sure you guys get these questions like EVERY DAY but:
I’m having trouble landing the wall cling to chain to ground bounce aspect of his midscreen BNB after FORM B. Any tips? Do less attacks in the air? double jump? be faster and do not suck? lol.
-If i have my opponent in the corner how in the flying hell do i relaunch them or create damage? i know he can do XF loops with formation B up to three times but anything outside of XF? I don’t want to use his QCF L in the air…or is that a good option in the corner?

- Combination of distance and the combo you did before determines if the wall cling will work. Can try wall cling L M H too. Most times I just do wall cling H, but I rarely do that combo anyway.
- knockdown, summon orb, fire orb, M H S. If orb is summoned already you can dash back, fire orb, qcf M, do something off the ground bounce. Or dash back, fire orb run jump H S Excal L relaunch.
In xfactor almost everything combos.
Just think if it like this. If your doing wall cling after formation shot to get l, m, h you need to be roughly 5 char lengths away. If you want m, h you’ll need to be a little further.

Sometimes I tag an opponent with s.H, f+H, which hit, but I’m out of range for S. Is there any combo I can do from here, or anything different I can do to ensure that I’m in range for S?
All the combos I see involve having Formation B summoned to combo after dp+L or qcf+L.
ok so I’ve been holding onto this strider combo since week 1. I was trying to make him my main and didn’t want to give out the tech but I got him on the back burner ATM. This combo is corner to corner guaranteed and then you can do exchange shit.
satellite has to be activated first, lmh, L gram, throw sat, dash act sat, dash h, L gram, throw sat, dash, dash, s
pretty tricky combo but I think it might be needed for strider teams.
fun combo with mag beam:
99 hs, land, s.h, mag beam, c.h, act sat, mag beam hits, dash s.h, throw sat, dash s.h, c.h, s, sj m, dj. h, s,
It can be triggered without a satellite being activated first and still gives him pretty good life mid screen. Mag beam does awesome things for strider and if you try this combo with other beam assists, they scale out too hard and you get 0 life out of them
