Super A+ Grade: Strider Combo Thread

Yeah, I’ve been doing pretty much everything you said now. This was a month ago lol. I am still a little scared about using Strider with the team though because one combo and he’s dead. Then I won’t have access to Ouroboros and I’ll have She-Hulk and Doom left. Pretty bad situation.

TAC combos, I’m going from memory here but you should get the general idea.

Down: :m: :m: xx double jump :m: :m: :h:, :h: excalibur, :s:
Side: midscreen, same as down. Out of corner, replace first :m: with :l:
Up: midscreen, :m: :m: xx double jump :m: :h:, :h: excalibur, :s:. Corner, :l: :l: :m: xx double jump :m: :m: :h:, :h: excalibur, :s:

These do a little more damage than a simple :m: :h: :s: and make landing Legion a little easier. Midscreen the timing for OTG legion is still very tight but possible from all tags.

You need the last hit of the excalibur for :s: to combo afterwards, so you need to be pretty far below for that to happen. These chains are just designed to put you below the opponent. You can end with :h: xx :l: gram instead of :s: but I don’t think you can OTG with Legion afterwards. You are only allowed 1 excalibur in the air which prevents anything revolutionary so the only way the above combos could be improved (assuming I’m remembering them right) is if you added in more normals.

I was wondering how I can use :h: excalibur. Thanks man i’ll try this out in training mode.

Heres a missiles combo ive been using with strider:

Gets around 480k meterless 590k with legion

Whats the most damaging combo any of you have gotten off of his air throw…im using option select Jmp F+H and i have been gettin a LOT of air throws for it (his throw range seems to be above average range),

I saw someone doing buttons, launch, MH xx QCF + A, jump forward MHS, summon Orb/shoot Orb for OTG, and then relaunch off that (possibly st A into the S) into MMHS. Did I see this wrong or something? Because a while back I remember trying to get a S after an OTG orb like that and it never worked.

2 meters and assists? Yes, I think. DHC from Legion into Vergil Spiral Swords or a Zero Lightning Loop and go crazy.

The same Mid-screen bnb in Xf3 that does 1.30 Million, only does 1.05 Million in XF2.

The Corner combo is not possible in XF2.

Also, there is less time to cancel an attack into his satellite and still be able to continue the combo.
Ex: :h:, :f: + :h: xx :qcb: :s:, :m: (This is harder to do in XF2)

I also updated my earlier post with a more damaging no meter corner combo & mid-screen bnb.

What’s the preferred combo with oki ender? With standard stuff I can do about 320k (gatling into air 236L relaunch). Is there anything better?

Think it was.around 610-620k but ima pass out now.

If anyone knows a strider solo combo or one assist that corner carries and builds one bar I could use it. Been doing fancy stuff but nothing I try meets those requirements.
Then I do launch m double jump h s, summon and fire orb, run launch, m double jump h s, and it goes pretty far. ending in a vergil rapid slash combo makes about one bar doing 420ish k. The point is to setup a legion reset, and it is nice if strider builds the bar he needs I can do it start of the round. Its a lot more difficult to do then I expected though and without the vergil part doesn’t build a full bar.

I’ll read through this thread again when I have time to see if its here already and update this post if I find something better.

I like to use akumas tatsu assist for corner carries, i feel hes has good synergy with strider though i play Strider/Thor or She-Hulk/RR or Akuma

I’m pretty much against using akuma. Right now thinking strider/zero/vergil, so anything that works with those three for a strider bnb i’m open to.I wonder if maybe something simple like OTG ryuenjin into jump gram will still hit at the end. Also have to watch that chou video again and see if what he is doing is building a bar.

Jesus that S after :l::m: xx :qcf:+:l: is so hard to get down consistently, anyone got any tips for this? Course I just raw tag into Zero ToD by with x-factorless Strider I need to work on combos/ resets.
