true. sum ppl were switching up da buttons like crazy… putting in focus attack buttons and throws. O.o c;mon now…

hell yes on the button switching. one sf4 match, my HP was set to 3xHP. in marvel, my assist 1 button was set to assist 2. RH on my stick was faulty so i figured it was all my sticks fault.
when i started to check buttons, people DID have focus attacks and throws set to certain buttons.
i need to get in a habit of ALWAYS checking buttons. or at least everybody who plays other than default should have to be responsible for switching tem back
The people who had those set were most likely the pad players or they could have just been left on from the default setting since alot of sticks only have 6 buttons and they saw no reason in setting no function
i was using a MAS and MAS sticks work with default. so pretty much they were just mapping weird buttons. i mean doesn’t mapping screw up your gameplay at like arcades n stuff? i remember i learned mahvel on ps2 (1 button dash, and assists were used with your left hand) and it took me quite a bit of time to get used to playing at the arcade.
I don’t think anyone who owns their own stick would set throw or focus to a button. I’m hoping it was just the pad players
I’ve heard people talking about mapping buttons to throw for easier kara throws, and 3p/3k for ultra of course. One person justified it because pad users could do the same so it’s fine. Personally, I never liked the idea of using shortcuts even on a pad, but that’s just me.
As far as the constant button config problem, I’d say that’s more a fault of the game. I forgot which game it was (maybe HD remix?) that just allowed you to input each button in order (jab, strong, fierce, short, forward, roundhouse). Painless and easy, I dunno why SF4 didn’t have it. But since we can’t get that, people just need to memorize the buttons on their own sticks, instead of playing the guess and check game.
well, i think ultra on pad is harder so that makes up for the 3 button mapping on pad.
mapping buttons to make it easier really isn’t a good thing though for ANY controller/stick coughmarvel OBDcough
i mean, what if people could ultra with 1 button? takes away the advantage to people who practice to have good execution.
i’m not really trippin in this game though, since it doesn’t require as much execution as other games. more so just timing. I just like to keep it old school… you know, play like you were at the arcade. I would hate to be playing at a tourney at an arcade and hear somebody bitching that they lost because they didn’t have a throw/focus button.
Also, its just time consuming when people have to test and check their buttons every single damn match.

360 stick owners already can’t use their sticks, don’t worry about people not being able to use their sticks 
It only takes like 5 minutes of your own time to rearrange the wires on your Cthulhu/TE/AXISadapter stick to set them up for Controller Type A anyway (so that only leaves HRAP/Hori FS3 owners). 5 minutes of your time will save hours of everyone else’s :rock:
I can record about two hours of gameplay in HD (I can probably record a lot more at standard definition if it becomes necessary), I just need to have a power source within 5 ft of the camera (short AC adapter cable :sad:).
Forgot all you tvc haters. If you don’t like the game then don’t play it. Anyways TvC took way too long to finish. I was falling asleep and shit.It would be nice if the tvc matches could finish earlier next time.
