in the beginning of the forum i mentioned that i would include tips. well, i think i finally have a couple.
1- as twelve already mentioned, it is best to sketch using the least amount of lines. if you sketch what you want to make with a few lines, it will be easier for you when you want to finalize the drawing.
2- if you want to check your picture for errors and you are using a semi-transparent canvas (like regular paper), then you can flip the paper over and face it towards some light. that way, your mistakes should become apparent since a drawing should look good reversed as well. you can also scan the image then use the “flip horizonal” function in photoshop to get the same results.
hope that helps.
i noticed this pic has a lota mistakes when i did the flip technique. also, sagat’s eye patch is on the wrong eye. and his right arm looks enormous.
Actually, you’ve also got his scar going the wrong way… so technically you could just laterally invert the image and the eyepatch & scar would be correct
God damn you Rich Tablet users I’m SO jealous!!! I gotta get me a Tablet. That stuff you guys are knockin out is PRIMO!
Here’s a unfinished sketch Of Ryu and Ken done the old fashion way. This was drawn on a A6 sketch pad. Yeah so it’s Very effin’ small. It was going to be a group shot and then I got Bored… God Damn you television and internet for murdering my attention span!!!

Thank you man but that isn’t prisma colours, it’s a tablet but yeah I can see the style looks similar.
Great drawings, the 2nd one looks nicer coz it feels more loose and it’s sketchier. I don’t know what tips to give except maybe plan out your drawings first. Yeah I know that’s a very cliche thing to say but I see a lot of people who starts doing detailed drawing from scratch, like maybe they start drawing the eyes nicely, then start composing the pics from there. But you know, planning is the key to make a good drawing. You need to get the gestures strong first, then your drawing will look awesome. Once the pose looks good, then your details will make the whole composition look even better. You think SFMC drew that Sagat/Guy without planning? Hell no. Or maybe he does?!??!
If you do plan then I guess you can try stronger gestures. Exagerrate them. Of course the subtle ones are nicer to see but they are more tricky.
Oh I just want to add Zenmaster that Adon/Sagat pic is freggin awesome man. You should clean that up and CG it and enter the Udon SF fanart contest and win!
I’m currently making a pic myself. Going smoothly so far.
