Stuart Scott, ESPN broadcaster, Dead at 49

And this year starts off terrible.

So sad to hear of his passing. Rich Eisen just had a tearful message on nfl gameday

No idea who this guy is, but that vid hit me :frowning:

Rather him than me

^Why’d you even comment? Go back to slinging shite in the gamergate thread.

Yea no idea who this guy is but it sucks the way he went out, RIP.

its a shame he couldn’t beat cancer by continuing to live. rip i am sorry for his family’s loss

even though i outgrew ESPN’s brodude atmosphere and the annoying highlight commentary, it sucks to hear stuart scott passed. the most legendary lazy eye

If you don’t watch ESPN then you won’t really know who he is. He was the first guy to bring in barbershop talk when giving sports news while most of the newscasters were bland and boring.

Yeah, I’ma need you scrubs who don’t know this man’s contributions to sportscasting to sit the fuck down and hush.

RIP to a legendary broadcaster and a great human being… Looks like death is going to go in this year too.

I guess the niggas are the only ones who knows who this guy is.

Or American sports fans who were in high school 4-8 years ago.

RIP Stu.

Yeah this guy is. Legend and very classy aswell.

he did alot of things for espn i hoped he got paid what he deserved. i never knew he had cancer cause i havent watched sportscenter since the colorado rockies were in the world series

He was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Damn. RIP. Coolest sports broadcaster (and I say he cast sports to a broad audience the coolest literally).

He informed you how to “raise the roof”.

Whether you were into sports ball or not (I am not) it’s always a shame to see someone who is so passionate about what he does leave this world due to something so shitty. Its okay to mourn. Take solace in knowing even though he had Cancer he never let it control him or define him. He went about every day surrounded by people he loved and doing what he loved. Nothing sad about that.

He was one of the reasons why I loved watching SportsCenter growing up. I always enjoyed the enthusiasm he displayed while going through the highlights–whether they were from the NFL, NBA or MLB. Stuart always had one of those voices that got your attention and made you want to watch whatever highlight or discussion was going on. He was pretty funny, too. You can tell he really enjoyed what he did. This is a big loss for not only the sports world, but the world in general.

RIP Stuart Scott.

I’m extremely sad to find out Stuart passed away this morning. He was one of the best to ever did it. I knew he had cancer, but had no idea it was he’s third fight. He was one of the few anchormen that had great style and substance and never tried too hard like must of the anchors today. He’ll truly be missed!

RIP.

Damn man.
