I would love this philosphy, but games these days don’t like to do that, they would rather take away all of the fun, and instead keep us all grounded.
I believe the bigger picture with infintes is how easy they are to setup. With Blaze, it’s just too easy and there’s footage of people speed running boss mode lol. Somebody did the Adam infinite on me in Battle mode the other day and I couldn’t help but to chuckle a bit. Anyway, if we do see a patch, I hope they remain intact because I am all for silly shenanigans like this. Reminds me of X-Men vs Street Fighter lol. The Shiva infinite in vanilla SoR3 had to go, it was beyond broken especially if you mapped your buttons right.
Some characters really do need buffs though. Here’s some I would like to see:
Axel needs just about everything (walking speed boost, more i-frames, etc etc.)
SoR3 Shiva needs retain his roll commands from vanilla
SoR2 Axel and Blaze need dmg buffs
Cherry doesn’t need dmg buffs, but I like the idea of faster specials

Playable SoR4 Max was an odd exclusion considering they already had his sprites done. Would’ve been dope to use him, albeit not broken like this mod lol

Anybody still playing? For battle mode, I put together a new tier list. I wonder what’s taking so long for that patch to come out.
BATTLE MODE TIER LIST:
S: Floyd
A: Max, Blaze, Adam, Skate 3, Shiva
B: Axel 3, Skate 2, Zan, Cherry
C: Axel, Blaze 1, Blaze 3, Axel 2
D: Adam 1, Axel 1, Blaze 2
S tier:
So basically any grab from Floyd results in 100% setups near wall bounces. Derp.
A tier:
Top tier. Blaze has the easiest infinite, Adam does wall bounce combos that do over 50%, and Max is toned down version of Floyd. Skate 3 and Shiva are very well rounded fighters capable of winning any given game.
B tier:
Solid, but they have their flaws. Everything Skate 2 does, Skate 3 can do better. Cherry players work twice as hard trying to open you up because she doesn’t have the best approach options. Axel 3 and Zan can do good dmg, just nothing spectacular
C tier:
Average. Blaze 1 has the best pokes in the game, but her setups are gimmicky and poor stamina means she dies quick. Blaze 3 has the worse star special out of them all, and not-so impressive dmg even with invincibility frames on her blitz puts her down. Axel’s mobility is what hurts him the most, though he is strong if he hits you. Everything Axel 2 can do, Axel 3 can do better.
D tier:
Not good. Blaze 1 outpokes the other SoR1 characters, and has the same star moves. Everything Blaze 2 can do, Blaze 3 does better (in most instances).

You got vids of the floyd 100% from grab?
I remember doing somw cool stuff from his triangle special and wall bounces. Never figured out a 100% combo though.

I saw somebody do it before but I forgot his name, I can get around 95% with Floyd but I need to watch some more vids to see what other people are doing to get that extra 5%.
Once I find it I’ll post it up.

Cherry has low stamina so maybe it only works on low stamina characters, but still, the dmg is just insanely broken on any character floyd grabs.

Unless it has ToDs, the whole thing seems like a tough sell. Not trying to watch SoR vids eith shoddy gameplay.
At this point, in my decades on this Earth, I just assume there is a porn parody of everything.
