Most of the reviews are giving this around 7/10. Havent played it yet - and wont until end of May - but thats what I was expecting.

Expect a SOR Mania at some point kind of like Sonic 4 vs Sonic Mania

SOR Mania is out, itā€™s called SOR4.

We need a SoR vs Final Fight crossover. Or a Golden Axe in the same vein as SoR4

I have new enemy/mini-boss that loathe with a passion!!
The kung-fu monks!!!

I HATE THOSE BASTARDS!!

The judo ones? You have to grab and throw them. Theyā€™re super annoying in that elevator stage.

Ainā€™t that the truth!!
If Iā€™m playing as Axel grab 'em and do the forward + special fury attack. It takes a chunk out of theyā€™re health bars.

The most annoying characters were the ladies with the flasks. I think Iā€™m going to try to main Adam

Still not liking some of the animations but the game definitely feels a lot better when youā€™re actually playing it.

Floyd is pretty fucking sick. Not only does he have a ranged grab he has Potemkin tier long limb attacks and can grab two enemies at once and smash them into each other. Definitely a cool character. I like him a lot more than I ever liked Max

Honestly Iā€™m liking the game more and more each stage I beat. Iā€™m doing hard mode first and it is pretty hard but not that bad. The way special attacks works now is so much better. It feels like I can really use them whenever I want, I just need to be careful afterwards or use them in combos so I can build my life back quickly.

Only thing I really feel like Iā€™m missing is a run

I got to stage 7 last night on Normal with Blaze, took me a little bit to realise how specials actually work 'cos at first glance I was like ā€œoh they work like in SoR2 so Iā€™ll hold back on em a bitā€ but now Iā€™ve realised you can build the spent health back by dealing damage the game has clicked. Iā€™ve had to continue like 3 times or so but Iā€™m not finding it too difficult or anything.

@Gasaraki

I agree, one of the few things from SoR3 I wouldā€™ve liked is Running and the fore/background roll.

Turns out movement is character specific. Cherry has a run and Adam has a dash. Blaze, Axel and Floyd donā€™t have anything.

SoR1 characters are pretty cool too actually. Way less options but they got those ultra fast ST style normals and high damage lol

Edit: btw Cherry has Tiger Knee and Power Dunk, itā€™s pretty sick lol

Max is so hard to beat when playing on a high difficulty level. Guys, make sure to destroy the arcade machines with the taser, it will lead to fights against retro bosses.

Yeah I beat him but I couldnā€™t figure out a good way to avoid his multi tackle. I can tell heā€™ll be harder on higher difficulties

Anyone else think the stage 1 and 2 bosses are harder than the last two stageā€™s bosses? Theyā€™re both really fucking annoying

Had to do an emergency run on supplies and decided to grab the eShop cards since they were in the same store. Iā€™ll be playing soon, but I should finish Fist of the North Star first. First World Problems.

Pumped to jump into a beatā€™em up with at stat leveling :facepunch:

0 for 2 now against what I guess is the last boss, ā€œMr. Yā€ (cool character design, btw; I love the art style/design in this game) The problem is that Iā€™m usually on zero lives remaining by the time I get to him, since that last area is a bit rough and you only have 2 lives by default on thisā€¦I may have to begrudgingly change it so I have more lives at the penalty of my score.

The worst so far imo was that part where you fight the Commissioner and that female officer (kinda looks like she has SWAT gear, actually? ā€¦another awesome character design there; whoever is the designer and illustrator is on this is absolutely The Shit.)

Cross play on Xbone with the Windows store version, donā€™t think it works with the steam version. Windows store version doesnā€™t like to launch, and getting the Xbox companion app to work properly with co-op was fucking aggravating. Had to consult a bunch of help guides then finally a youtube video to get the teredo bullshit the Xbox app runs on working.
