I would actually be ok with much of these changes if Capcom nerfs rolls. I swear, sometimes I’ll jump back with an attack perfectly and my opponent will still recover in time to block.

The Rufus nerfs are harsh.

Rufus s.LK pushback increased on block. Rufus can’t do two s.LKs without walking forward between them in xT because of the pushback already. This is a stupid nerf and also badly hurts his throw game.

c.LK hitbox reduced means he won’t be able to do like 5 c.LKs before chaining into a simple ABC. He needed this nerf but this combined with the s.LK nerf means you have nothing to fear against his normals.

Messiah Kick mixups nerfed - mid now -1, high now -5. I have no idea why they made the high unsafe now, so now after a blocked messiah kick, Rufus’s only reliable escape option, he has one safe option from it.

Several Galactic Tornado damage nerfs and target combo damage nerf. This will badly hurt his combo damage output, especially in the corner.

Divekick frame advantage on hit decreased by 7 frames. Another massive nerf to the divekick. After the patch shortly after release he could no longer do the ambiguous divekick vortex from SF4 (always pushes him to the front of their face if attempted) and frame advantage on block was drastically nerfed. Not sure if you can even call it frame advantage now.

I agree with you on everything except this to an extent. I understand fast walk speeds is a part of some characters’ game. But like I said IMHO (hate having to say that so frequently), the from the characters I’ve played the only thing a faster walk speed truly helped with was their throw game. I have played Koto, Ibuki, Rose, and Juri and none of them have stellar walk speeds (Koto has the worst). And I messed around with Cody and Sakura (both since alpha 3). I feel as though characters like Sakura need a fast walk speed to compensate their lack of ways to open up an opponent which inadvertently buffs their whiff punishes. But I whiff punish just fine as Koto, Ibuki and Juri. But I can understand characters like Chun li and Cammy take advantage of their great walk speeds. Though you’re welcome to disagree it’s just my opinion.

They need to give us the ability to play vanilla SFxT if we want. Just like the ability to play SSF4 within AE. I’d even settle for the broken Rufus and Raven, at least it was more fun.

You’re already a big enough target with bad buttons who gets thrown for free and will only get thrown more with the five frame startup, now it’s suicide for you to ever boost combo with those frames AND you can’t lariat in desperation. They do not fix any of Hugo’s major issues and instead give him nerfs?

Yeah AE 2012 is totally unbalanced.

They got pretty lucky with 2012 tbh, and even then it has loads of issues like unblockables and true 50/50s.

Unblockables have nothing to do with balance. Lucky? Don’t make me laugh, 3S is unbalanced only because they never patched it, it’s still ver.1999.

If your character has an easy time getting a knockdown and has an unblockable to go, then it certainly affects balance, nearly all of the stronger chars in AE are those with vortexes, 3s is unbalanced because they handled it wrong, and them not patching it is still another example of their inability to balance games right.

I wonder if any of the suggestions in the Balance thread were even to be implemented in the upcoming update. :confused:

The only ones the added that were in the thread were Paul walkspeed buff and… Paul’s walkspeed buff.

Scumbag Capcom, not listening to SRK and opting for EventScrubs instead <_<

Elena’s cr.mp and cr.mk hitbox buffs.

I could care less about all these changes, all I want is the game to be played by all again, Ima give it a chance, plus almost everyone is getting nerfs in general
