Street Fighter Zero 3 : Double Upper

I am an SF Fanboy but this just takes the p*ss! Why would I pay 35 for this when I can play the snes SFA2 for free? The difference doesn’t justify the price.

They hardly did ANY work on this. Now I haven’t seen the source code but how hard would it be to actually put groung to the left and right of the screen instead of just stretching it? :lame: They did that with the last 2 games they released (Darkstalkers and Rockman Dash 2). Seems a little lazy to me. If they put in the extra effort with the ground then I WOULD buy it (proof that I am a fanboy). But as it stands now, I’ll probably just download the iso.

Shiver me timbers!

I didn’t - You’re mixing me up with the other guy. Im the guy whos attacking you for talking out of your arse, and thats twice youve done that now.

Exactly. Unless everyone, INCLUDING Eagle, Yun, Maki and Ingrid have boss battle dialogues and endings, I see no reason to buy this, especially when I could have played it on:

  1. Arcade
  2. Playstation 1
  3. Dreamcast
  4. Sega Saturn
  5. Game Boy Advance
  6. Emulator

Remember when people got pissed when Capcom’s all new Street Fighter game two years before turned out to be a mere variation of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo? You’d think that would be the end of it but NO, once again the Street Fighter 2 has been milked to be included in Capcom Classics Collection, a game that should have included the original Street Fighter, or at least a version that is actually PLAYABLE.

Most people like Alpha 2 a lot better than Alpha 3, so why isn’t that one ported? Out of all Capcom’s Street Fighter games, does Capcom believe that we play ONLY Street Fighter Alpha 3, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and the million variations they produce? Is Capcom afraid of porting anything other than those two Street Fighter games?

Nah, I’d say most people prefer A3 over A2. I hate all the alpha games though so it doesn’t affect me one way or another.

No Neo Geo Pocket for you

I am only joking but that tiny handheld (with SNK vs Capcom: Match of the Millenium and Samsho) had better fighting game fun than the Darkstalkers Collection for the PSP despite the Darkstalkers game had awesome animation.

Even though I prefer playing Alpha 2’ Gold (Long Live SF Collection Saturn) or the ARCADE Alpha 3 myself, but I just hope Capcom fixes the moves timing (like in the menu for SFA3:Upper for DC) bit to make it work better with the crappy PSP dpad.

I wonder if Capcom would impliment infrastructure mode for SFA3 Double Upper?

In case ya did not know!

It’s for adults with short commutes. I’ve spent hours playing Alpha 3 for the GBA on short train rides that don’t allow time for me to play a tactics game, RPG, or Castlevania.

To this day I still have nightmares of SFA1 on Game Boy Color. Scary stuff…

TGS this month, Nintendo DS.

Do you think that there is still a chance that there may be other new character’s other than Ingrid?

I would love to see hugo, poison, haggar, and yang.

Common capcom lets aim for more than 38 fighter’s

Come on Capcom…Let’s try to EARN our money, shall we?

Why would you buy this? Simple, so what if you don’t have SFA3 already, and you do own a psp? Mainly, this is to get the thousands of people who brought into the hype that is the psp and to get a copy of Street Fighter into their hands. Chances are if they bough the Vampire / Darkstalkers game, they will get this also.

This isn’t for those who already have it on countless other systems, so don’t complain to much about it. I am pissy on the subject because instead of giving us a real 2D fighter, Capcom is at it again with rehashing shit.

Give me my blasted SF4!

Believe me I would much rather have this game on a PS 2 or PS3 even. Certain character’s I would love to fight as like eagle, and yun against the character’s that we already know.

I think there is still alot of potential in the alpha time. Like adding HUGO, POISON, HAGGAR, GEKI, RETSU, YANG.

Lot’s of people like want a SF game where there is a huge roster. Well SFA is pretty fucking close.

Before anyone else claims that this will be a GBA port, or that the screen is too small for SFA3 (wtf, it’s 480*272 which is almost twice the resolution of the original game), here’s a screenshot of the GBA version:
http://www.gamereactor.se/media/streetfighteralpha3_2742.jpg

How the fuck can it be 480272 AND be stretched? The output is definately 480272 but it originates from a 4:3 image (just like Darkstalkers and Rockman Dash 2). The input is closer to 362272. When this is stretched, it fills the 480272 screen, which is just lazy. Do some fucking work Capcom, make use of the Widescreen!

I thought the entire Alpha series was just elephant shit (although Alpha 2 looked really nice), but I’m desperate for a fighting game so I’ll bite. I’ll hate having to use shoulder buttons though. For PSP Street Fighter games, Capcom needs to use the CvS1 4-button setup.

Yeah it’s not like widescreen would COMPLETELY change the game or anything  .

I’d rather have the option to play with extra sides than to simply have the option to stretch the screens.

If you knew anything about SF you’d realize this would practically make it a different game.

as if capcom cared about that aspect.
