Hehe. I tested out Guy and Blanka’s cl.hp. I was able to punish guy with a 5f move. Blanka so far with a 7f move. I don’t know if they can LC their dashes though. I highly doubt it.
He does. Ogre is the only character who gets up in 29 frames on a QR and 49 frames on a HKD face up. Everyone else gets up in 30 and 50.
That doesn’t work when doing safe-jumps from throws because Kazuya will always end up in a face-down position after Cody’s backthrow. It’s why the safe-jump set-up doesn’t work there and why I asked about the frame difference so I could find another potential set-up.
I see. Well I’ll leave that to you then.
Well form the looks of it Guy and Blanka don’t have a LC dash either.
Yea. Neither Guy’s nor Blanka’s dashes were LCable. I was expecting Guy’s to be, but I guess not
And no other characters should have LCable forward dashes, so Juri’s may be the only one.
Ah, I love it when I’m the only one. Makes for interesting things. :3 +1 for Juri yet again.
Well here’s the list so far for LC dashes.
LC:
Juri
NonLC:
Chun
Nina
Hwo
Law
Kaz
Jin
Poison
Hugo
Yoshi
Raven
Xaioyu
Ryu
Guy
Blanka
Akuma
Cammy
Bison
Ken
Elena
Ibuki
Rolento
Sagat
Zangeif
That’s it so far. Hehe, none of the shoto’s have LC dashes. It’s looking to be only Juri.
Xiaoyu’s cl.HP xx CADC seems to be -3 at the earliest.
But I was able to punish it though with Ryu’s super…I don’t get it
I just tested, and Ryu’s Super did not punish it.
If you were doing recorded dummy for Xiaoyu, make sure you press block for like 7~8 seconds, because if you block it for just a little, Super flash is going to void the blocking time. If you were not doing recorded dummy, then please disregard this, but I do not know why that could’ve happened. Maybe late dash cancel?
possibly.
It seems like moves that can be link-canceled seems to have non-existant IASA (or rather, -0x1 if you read Pandora dumps). This holds true for Lei’s cr.HP, cr.HK, Dragon LP, Dragon MP, Crane LP~HP, and Juri’s forward dash.
That means?
IASA, or Interruptible as Soon As frames. Essentially, certain moves you can interrupt before the full animation ends. Like how taunts can be interrupted before the full taunt goes through. What seems to be the case here is that moves that don’t actually have these interruptible frames in their move code seem to actually gain one IASA frame for some reason, in a way, which coincides with the final animation frame, leading to the link cancel bug.
Do I have that right street11?
Ah, sweet. Interesting.
So moves like Hei’s counter and Elena’s Lynx tail are also IASA? I take it too Juri’s counter also functions the same way?
Most moves have IASA.
I’m not entirely sure about Heihachi’s counter, but Elena’s Lynx tail should be IASA. Juri’s counter is different. She can cancel into other moves, but it does not mean her move ended.
Usually a way to differentiate IASA and cancel is whether you can walk/jump or not. If you can walk/jump/move around, it’s IASA.
To be quite honest, I didn’t really look at Pandora dumps that carefully before, so I’m just speculating here. This might turn out to be wrong.
Oh but Juri’s overhead is link cancelable, and the move’s IASA is -1.
So Juri’s counter isn’t a legit LC? Well that’s good to hear. It also explains why I can do that corner setup with the dash LC…nice.
Well, IASA is not equal to LC (frankly, LC is a glitch), but as far as Juri’s counter goes, she has a separate cancel table into moves. It explains why she can do specials and stuff but not block.
