No you did not miss anything. I misread pre-jump data as CADC and thought it was 4. My apologies for the confusion. I’m going to use “tired” as an excuse
The thing though is that we’re not sure if the 1st hit does 24f hitstun as well, because the hit advantage is after you connect with the 2nd hit. This is something that has to be tested separately.
Street, can you look at something for me? For some reason I can’t seem to punish Juri’s cr.mk CADC dash with a CArt. Despite being -9 on block after a dash…yet I can’t punish it. I highly doubt I can link cancel it after a CADC…but I can’t punish. I should be able to…but I can’t. Why? I did the math right…was Juri’s cr.mk stealthily tweaked at all?
I will record right now and see how it is. Sry I had no update lately; I got interested in making a BAC editor for a very short time. I’ll record her cl.HK CADC as well and see how it goes.
EDIT: Which CArt are you using? It does look like it is -9. Make sure you’re inputting your reversal CArt very early, because there’s a 2nd reversal timing that is actually 1f later than the early reversal but will still give you “reversal” notice.
Her forward DASH is the one that is link cancelable. This does not matter if it is CADC or just regular dash. She has to wait 20f before she can jump, dash, walk, etc., but if she blocks and attacks, she only has to wait 19f before she can do it.
I apologize for giving you wrong info by saying CADC and link cancels are not related. I honestly did NOT think the dash can be a part of it as well.
I do not know if this mechanic is intentional or accidental, but it is dumb.
EDIT: So cr.MK CADC becomes -8 on block if you’re just blocking, and cl.HK CADC becomes 0 on hit if you’re doing a normal frame perfect.
That’s ok…so her dash can be link canceled? Hmmmm…wait would that mean that she could be 0 on hit after a CADC dash cr.hp? So since after a CADC dash she is normally -1…but if I link cancel her dash then she could become 0?
Also I was testing her CArt, Sagat’s, Ryu’s…nothing. I checked to make sure that normally cr.mk isn’t Link cancelable it’s not…hmmmm but the dash is… interesting…very interesting…
Wait…so only her dash is link cancelable? Or could I combine the two? like CADC dash link cancel the dash and then say have cr.mk become -8 on block?
Mistakes happen Street…trust me I know…You’re more the expert on frame data when it comes to what and what I just follow it and go from there.
Now they have to do is make Juri’s Dash 17 frames and I’m in business. >:3
Yup, so in simple words you can consider her dash to be 19f instead of 20f as long as you’re not dashing, walking, crouching, jumping, or staying in neutral. I wonder if any other dashes are link cancelable, like Hwoarang for example.
Oh sweetness. So an auto link cancel after a CADC…nice. Now without prior knowledge to this…if moves that were cancelable and link cancelable before…could I double the frame advantage? like instead of 1 I get +2 frames added or no?
About link canceling only into attacks and blocks: That is correct. It is also the reason link cancel screws us up; we measure frame advantage by block -> jump method.
EDIT: About double frame advantage, I’m afraid not. Link cancelable only occurs at the last frame of recovery, and when it comes to canceling moves, you’re usually canceling the active frames, so there’s no link cancel from the first move.
No. As I said, since you’re canceling the active frames of the first move, there is no link cancel from the first move, so only link cancel from forward dash would apply. Therefore, it is 0 on hit if you’re attacking after.
I see. That’s fine. I’ll take 0 over -. That also applies to her other cancelable moves? So that the combination of her dash link and a move that is link cancelable can still be applied right? Just not to cl.hk?
Also street. Is it true that everyone has 1 point of health more then usual? Like Akuma has technically 851? Juri has 901? King has 1001? Gief has 1101? and Hugo has 1151? Or do they have +2 added on to their health. Because I keep seeing this 1 appear after certain combo’s. Like for example Ryu does cr.hp into Super. That SHOULD be 390…but he gets 391 instead…
I don’t think they actually have an extra point of health, it’s just an interesting quirk with the supers. Supers do their normal damage if you link into them or do them raw, but they do an extra point of damage if you cancel into them.
