Street Fighter X Tekken PC Contest Thread!

PC is my only system XD
If I win I’d be glad that I won’t have to re-learn a bunch of things because of the patch.

Well, the answer to that question…Lies in the heart of battle. But seriously, I can play Abel, and King in the same game? Of course I’m sold. Also about the only one of my friends that doesn’t have it yet lol. Been following it competitively for a while though, even though I couldn’t afford it. New balance changes look great, really fond of the roll change!

The patch will bring the same balance that there is on the console version, balancing fighters and making others very viable.

Also it will let me play at my high end pc instead playing it on the console.

Because the character mods for this game are sick.

I heard the netplay is still butts, but I’d use it to prep for tournies.

I want to play this on PC because I don’t own SFxT yet but it looks good and I plan to mess around with moveset modding once I get the PC version.

Because I want to kill myself.

I want to play on PC because I’m interested in the skill level of the PC playerbase. It’ll be nice to play against a completely different set of opponents then from the console version.

The only way to get better is to actually play the game. Simple as that. I would play SFxT to get better and continue to have fun. There are so many team combinations and different combos and juggles to learn in SFxT. With the new update, the game got a much needed boost.

Overall I would say that the update was a great addition. The character balance changes are one thing, but the system changes are the highlight of the update. The overall pace of the game was increased because of a number of changes. Those changes are my favorite ones. Throws taking away red health, lack of in-game freeze when a launcher is comboed into, boost chains being less safe on block and having less pushback are all great changes. Shame they weren’t in the original version. Less timeouts are always a good thing. Coupled with the aforementioned changes, the general damage increase to most characters also helped with the timeout issue.

Because I don’t have a fighting game on the PC.

I only got to try out 2013 once, but the game seems a bit better now, much more offense oriented, and I am digging Cody+Guy alot. Knife Combo’s ftw.

I’d like to play this on the PC because perhaps it will have better support than the 360 version which is laggy and stuttery.

I know, I’m probably hoping for a lot aren’t I?

Want the honest truth of why I want this game? To have it because I want it. I probably wouldn’t even open it. It would just sit in my room as a trophy for something I actually won. But I never win anything…that’s why i’m being honest. How about you send me a madcatz SFxT fight pad for PS3! I would definitely use that…to play SF4 LOL.

I recently got back into the fighting game genre and I’m currently playing AE only, because that’s the one I have. SFxT looks really entertaining and different from what I already play, and I’d like to make it my 2nd game and become good so I can improve my fighting game proficiency (I think its possitive to learn multiple games), play with more people and enter more tourneys.

A few reasons:

[] My PS3 is currently out of commission, so the PC is my only source for console games ported over to PC. Besides, I’m interested to see what the activity’s like on the PC version. I heard that the online competition is good, so I hope that’s the case for the PC version. Otherwise, it’s good to own any version of the game so that I can practice for local competition.
[
] The 2013 patch fixed everything that was wrong with the vanilla version. They even fixed little annoyances like the lifebar shake.
[*] I want to try a Dudley/Cammy combo and see if that works. I used both of those characters in SF4.

I actually first started getting into fighting game due to a friend of mine in vegas. He bought me a copy of SSF4:AE for PC during christmas and he bodied me to his heart’s content, and I realized… hey… fighting games aren’t just about mashing buttons. Then I started browsing through internet to find stuffs like BnB combos, links, etc and that’s how I found this place. I have yet to try out the SFxTK, but I have been very interested in it and have been keeping up with spooky’s stream to see what it is like. I would very much appreciate if I was honored a copy from shoryuken. Cheers!

I want this on pc so I can start to contribute to the amount of already wonderful mods this version allows. (having made custom skins/models for games like Unreal Tournament series, quake series, team fortress 2, left4dead 1/2)
Also on pc because I live in a the middle of the freakin’ woods and can’t find any good opponents on psn to play with decent connections and fighting the a.i. all day sucks monkey butt!

I also feel the patch improved the game tenfold, feels much faster and fluid than it’s previous incarnation, and just plain makes it more fun to play!

I juste want this game

ever since i bought sfiv for pc i hardly turn my xbox on anymore, it would be nice to have a pc copy of this to switch over to after some ae matches. the 2013 patch made this game much better even though i was one of the seemingly few to enjoy it before. my personal favorite change is throws taking away recoverable health, definitely one of the huge reasons i’m not seeing time over every other round anymore.

I’ve yet to get into it. The balance update is just what I needed and having it on PC would be pretty cool.

The 2013 patch gave the game the pacing it needed. Plus, the Tekken characters are pretty decent and I hope that more people will get into this title now.
