Is this a common occurrence? Buttons dying after a 2-3 days of use? I wanted to spend this week practicing and now I have to send it back
If you have your stick set to ālockā, then yes.
If you are talking about the 8 main buttons, then no.
Ok, thanks.
Itās weird, because when my Xbox is off and the stick is plugged in, it recognizes the Xbox home button and it powers the machine on, but in-game or even in the home screen it doesnāt work.
Picked one of these up during the Mad Catz Holiday Sale, and while Iām extremely happy with it given the price (It functions correctly, and makes a hell of an upgrade from the broke-ass SE I was using beforehand), I canāt help but be moderately annoyed by some of the defects. The scratches in the plastic and the dings in the art are easily ignored, but the big thing that stands out is that the bottom half of the plastic shell doesnāt sit flush with the top half in the corner where the headset jack is. As seen here:
Has anybody else experienced this problem, and if so are there any tips on how to fix it? Iāve taken the stick apart and canāt find anything that seems as though it would be getting between the two pieces. Unless the plastic itself is actually warped, my only guess is that the headset jack pcb is getting in the way somehow.
Iām not totally bothered by it, but it would be nice to fix if at all possible.
Hey fellas , Iām a lilā new on this , but I buy the fightstick pro for x360 to use on my PC , but itās doesnāt fells like an arcade stick , and I donāt know , what stick I should bring to fell better with it ??
Thanks.
Doesnt feel like an arcade stick? It has genuine arcade parts (Sanwa Joystick and buttons + viewlix button layout), you cant get much closer to a modern arcade feel.
Is it you first japanese style joystick? Are you accustomed to Happ parts? Unfortunately there are no currently produced joysticks on the market with Happ parts, you will need to buy a custom stick made for you.
I have a question too, I saw a picture of the inside of the stick. The JLF was attached with a flat MS mounting plate. What if I want to mod with the seimitsu ls 32, the stick is a bit shorter, can I use a double tilted SS plate ? Does it fit for just plug and play, and does the seimitsu afterwards has the correct height of 22-23mm? thx so far
I really want a SF4 TE2 stick but I canāt get them anywhere so I guess im gonna have to get the SFXtekk one.
Though there are the PROā¦The VSā¦and the Pro Cross lol, I have no idea which one to get. From what I read the pro is on the same quality as the TE round 2 sticks, is it also the same size as well as is the quality about the same? Im ready to get me a stickkk. The Vs looks cool but way to big for me
Pro fightstick is even better then TEr2, because it has the TE-S pcb. The difference in ācrossā and ālineā is only! the artwork, anything else is the same.
Yea thanks you, I just realized this myself. And thatās good to hear, if anything I can replace the artwork for MVC3 or SF4 after a little bit.
Not sure if I should even ask this here. But all madcatz stick start with a Square gate right? from what I read most seem to prefer octagon or are both fine? If so im just gonna order right now
Most prefer square gate of course, itās the standard for anything.
There are a view beginners who are new to a stick and switch to octagon or some people more used to happ parts. But >95% I guess stay with the square, itās standard, itās the best and thatās for a reason (100% objective and scientific proofed, ok I am kidding).
As I said square is standard, itās played by all the japanese, playing in the arcade and standard on all the high quality expensive arcade sticks.
The last batch of Round2 sticks came with the TE-S pcbās.
IMO R2 sticks are superior to the PRO as R2 are much easier to mod and you donāt need to invalidate your warranty just to swap a button.
Some people want to play their sticks stock. The Pro stick currently run very very cheap, I cant get a TE stick for that price right now in germany.
Yea its just impossible for me to get a TE2 here in Holland that isnāt extremely used or old so I gotta go with this. But from what Ive read the quality is good enough at least. And thanks about the Square gate comment, goodddd.
In about a week Ill prepare myself to go from a solid player to a scrub for a few weeks lol
Does not matter if it is kept stock or not. If something even as simple as a quick disconnect comes loose then you have to invalidate your warranty to fix it.
What I meant is than the quad ālimitatorā isnāt what I used to play on arcades , witch isnāt easy for me to get use to.
My question is what limitator I shall buy to get a better felling like on arcades (South America uses US settings for those)?
And yes , this is my very first Jap style joystick.
Thanks.
You can buy a octagonal restrictor gate for the Sanwa JLF, but I would advise anyone in the longterm to get used to the square gate, but a lot of beginners choose the octagonal gate, but again a lot, switch back to square in the later learning process.
Ok , so what model of ārestrictorā I should use (octagonal)?
And why you say than later I should switch back to square one?
Thanks.
Crap man i hope i will get a good one, got the cross for ps3 for 92 bucks. Donāt want all these stupid scratches too.
Iāve had mine for about a month now. The door for the cord storage was broken during shipping on mine, but I didnāt feel like it was worth shipping it back so I fixed it myself. I swapped out the buttons, balltop, and the artwork ⦠The inside of these things is impressively cramped. I thought my TE Round 2 was cramped until I popped this stick open. So if you have big hands and like to customize your arcade stick, I can see this one being a giant pain in the ass, or hands.
Normally Iād agree with this but the warranty on these is pretty short to start with. So Iām more or less alright with that.
Will get mine tomorrow, got the amazon shipping email.
