No.

Which one is better guts wise? im sorry but im new to the stick thing

If there’s no difference gut wise, one is not better than the other gut wise.

Ok so basically different PCB but same buttons, stick etc?

Ive got a TE round 2 and ordered the Line Pro because in Australia these things are hard to come by and i would like to have two just for supply/demand reasons.

No, same everything.

@moto & jdm Sorry guys, i misunderstood when you said ā€œnoā€ before i thought you meant ā€œno there is a differenceā€ lol

But thanks for clearing that up for me

The metal starts where the plastic ends. There is no clearance. The size of the artwork you see there, is the size of the metal panel.

I’m not entirely sure I understand your method of applying contact to the top of the stick, but what I can tell you is that this Impact Modified material is quite flexible and a bit more resilient to heat. Although it is also considered great material for Thermoforming, but requires quite a bit of heat. What that also means is that when applying enough heat, you can bend it back to shape.

However, any plastic material, when enough heat is applied, can potentially warp or produce some unknown effect. It’s just really hard to say without knowing just how much heat and in what circumstance you’re applying it. But I can also tell you that I tried placing a small hairdryer to a small piece of the material on High for a good minute and did not see it significantly change shape. It was flexible to begin with so other than it bending the same way that it did, I did not notice much else. Ideally, if it’s screwed into place and flattened, it should be ok. That’s just guessing without knowing the exact amount of heat you’re going to apply, so take it for what it is.

Do you see these stickers peeling off easily art?

Eh, like any stickered case, it does take some effort. It is truly a sticker and not the thin plastic like on the TEs and VS. When I peeled mine, the tiny layer that held the adhesive actually peeled off the sticker. So there’s a very very thin layer of the sticker that’s still on there, on top of the adhesive. Since this worked well for me as it provided a smooth, non-sticky surface for me to work on, I didn’t try to remove the rest of it. I’m not sure if that is the case for everyone trying to peel their sticker, or if that’s desirable for everyone, but I’d definitely suggest having some Goo Gone ready.

I do question why they would release a stick after the TE with no plexi glass at all, doesn’t really make sense.

Well, no other major stick company has released a fightstick with plexiglas, as far as I can tell. They’ve either been stickers or a plastic artwork cover, but not an actual plexiglass or lexan type cover that allows easy interchangeable art swapping.

A possibility is that in the production line, it’s far easier and cheaper, to apply and handle a single thin piece of artwork printed plastic or sticker, than a separate artwork and then another piece of thin plastic. There are likely other factors, but that’s my speculation.

I imagine most manufacturers don’t want to encourage people to open up their products in fear of having to cover any possible warranty claims.

Plastic artcover, my bad  but yeah it would seem novel to just have something cover it atleast

Yeah, I agree. If they kept with the plastic art cover for the Pro that would have been excellent, and simple for modding. However, since the screws are countersunk, it would be difficult to apply the same type of plastic cover, since they are usually just held in place by a mild adhesive that would easily come off. So for plastic art cover, they would need to apply the screws on top. And in this tight configuration, the bottom middle screw could get in the way of the button and be a little uncomfortable. That’s why I would offer a version without that screw hole.

Now I think they really concentrated on the VS for the purpose of modding, so perhaps the Pro was more for simplicity? Again, more speculation.

That is a good possibility that for that specific product they would prefer not to encourage easy modding. But the TE’s and VS were designed for modding, and encouraged, so I guess it was a bit questionable why, out of their other moddable products, that the Pro didn’t make that same category.

Looks awesome, Art. I’m looking forward to it.

Thanks for that.

I’m looking at something like this:

Basically the heat makes the covering incredibly malleable and flexible: so much so that it’d probably sit in place without a problem. Obviously it’s a completely flat surface so molding it to that wouldn’t be the issue: but I can see the corners being tricky. With a few test runs I’m sure I could get it to work.

What would be the best way to paint this? Primer, then acrylic matte spray paint?

Heres another pic of mine guys, its actuallty in MINT condition which is suprising because ive had to replace 2 TE round 2 sticks due to shipping damage (scratching scuffing on the bezel and sides)

Im actually surprised at the quality of the art (sticker) it seems like its stuck sturdily and would be resistant to damage if your careful (not wearing rings watches etc)

These sticks have been sold out for a while at Amazon (at least the 360 ones) and are being sold by the markup stores. I wonder how long before they get the next shipment.
