I was going to buy one thru here from slaycruz (wifey wanted to go lower priced for a used stick) , but I found out late sunday that my wife placed an order from the official site XD. It is a b-day present for me so even if I recieve it this week or next, I cant open it till the 27th BTW this is my 1st Madcatz stick so I am very anxious to use it. I tweeted to Markman about my gift and this is what his response was
Tested it out at Devastation. Was very nice and I liked the extra space on the left side to rest my hand. Was a bit light for my preference but thatās nothing that a crapload of glued pennies canāt take care of.
Nice job again Madcatz.
Iām curious about this FightStick Pro in light of the fact that the TE case doesnāt appear to have been abandoned but tweaked for the Soul Calibur V releaseā¦
Does this mean the FightStick Pro is a one-time design release, or will it get re-issued with new art, new case colors and continue to coexist with the redesigned/post-Soul Calibur V TE?
I know Iām going to pass on the FightStick Pro ā I just donāt have the money or desire to get it and there are a few living necessities I have to take care of(!) ā but the Soul Calibur V TE looks interesting.
Iām sure we see the case design around again I believe Markman also mentioned it as well
its just not cost effective to do a case for one run, all the development in making a new mold for a case its very expensive there is no way they would limit it to 2000 cases. I almost guarantee we will see a few different colors over the next couple of years, unless fighting game market takes a plunge
Just got my stick today!
64/1000. No button scratches, and got it in absolute mint condition.
Tested it out and I must say, ergonomically I feel it more comfortable than the TE sticks.
the light weight is not an issue for me.
This is the 3rd stick I got from Madcatz and wonāt be the last. No complaints.
Got my stick yesterday. 29/1000, PS3 version. I honestly love this stick. Itās so comfortable. Iād love to use it for tournaments, butā¦Iād like a new picture, too. Any templates out yet?
Hi Shoryuken community!
I see those are sold out everywhere. I know I am coming a bit late to the party (to the FightStick world in general too). I would not have expected game specific FightSticks to be released and sold out months before a game comes out. Is this common behaviour?
I see a āNotifyā when in stock on the gamesharkstore. Is it foolish to expect a restock on those since they are a limited edition? If it is foolish, any reason why they keep them on the website?
I do really really want them but I will not pay 300-400$(price found for the few available online) to someone who just decided to grab one of those to make money on someone else⦠If it is totally unrealistic to ever get those for 169.99$ again, do you have any suggestions for someone new to FightSticks who wants a solid product? I have been playing fighters for at least 20 years but moved far from any Arcade around the time I was playing Tekken 2 (donāt laugh, I know itās been a while haha). I miss the Arcade feeling and I am tired to have trouble pulling some move on a controller. If it can help, I have big hands. About 7 inches from wrist to top of middle finger and about the same from thumb to pinky if I put my hand in a FightStick buttons position. Will I have problem with them? What about the one coming out soon for Soul Calibur 5?
Thank you very much for any replies and information you can provide. It is greatly appreciated. Here seems to be the best online forum I found for the subject and the community looks great!
