Street Fighter X (Cross) Tekken/Tekken X (Cross) Street Fighter

not sure if trolling =S

i just heard about it just now lol. seems just wierd. it’s like if halo and mw teamed up to make a game:)

Oo, I’m very intrigued by this idea. Someone should propose this to the people at a game convention since it is clear they are still in an early enough development stage to change plans.

I would love a delay just for this. It would be like Nintendo announcing Team Ninja doing Metroid all over again.

Don’t you mean neutral guards? ^^

As I watched the gameplay video I’m still amazed like wow. I’m a fan of both and grew up with both games even sf taught me everything about fighting games. 10 years ago this would have been a joke me and my boys would have said when we were high lol. It looks like it’s going to be a solid play I can’t till whenever the hell it drops! Oh and I’m glad to see no hate on here just everyones smart opinions and thoughts unlike other websites I been going too.
Bison/sagat vs hiehachi/Bryan !!!

Yeah, what we saw was horribly early. Hell, if you could make it out over all the nerdgasming, they didn’t even have any new music. They just chucked Crumbling Laboratory in as something to have over pure silence (I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned that much yet).

I’m sure that by the time this actually does launch, they’ll refine the SF4 engine even further. I still just can’t see how the Tekken characters would be viable when so many of the SF characters have fireballs or other long-ranged attacks (Ken, Ryu, Akuma, Guile, Chun, Dhalsim, Sagat, Dee Jay, Rose, Sakura, Cody, Viper, Seth, Gouken, Juri), and, if they KEEP the Tekken characters true to their roots, NONE will have a projectile. They’re gonna need decent fireball avoidance techniques to stand a chance at getting through the ol’ “Tiger Shot! Tiger Shot! Tiger Shot! Tiger Shot! HRRRRAGH! Tiger Shot!” garbage.

^Yeah, they’re going to need cool Wave Dashes and what not, but they don’t need a projectile to deal with the World Warriors. Just look at Balrog, Fei, and Gief. There are ways around projectiles easily.

…Uhm.

But Im honestly looking forward to Namcos version. If it has a Tag feature, be the closest thing to TTT2 we gonna get.

This looks a lot better than I thought. I’m actually looking forward to playing this. Has Namco released any footage on their side yet?

Well, Kazuya does a wave dash under Ryu’s fireball, so that’s a solution. They can also add a parry-like system. Much like someone like Abel doesn’t need fireballs to compete, I don’t think anyone in the Tekken cast would need it either as long as there is a way to avoid fireballs. Oh, and if Devil Jin makes it, at least he’ll have a fireball!

Anyone else think of Project Justice after seeing that video? Seems like it might work that way, where you can do a super/ultra and your partner comes in and does a tag combo, than leaves, like an assist.

There will be ways to deal with projectiles easily in both games. Solutions in Capcom’s game have been mentioned on this page, and in Namco’s game I’d imagine that it will be as simple as just side stepping.

no . i think it be while before we see the namco version

It is from a SF4 PC mod.

The game looks real hype. I think the other version (TvS) will be very similar to TTT with 2.5D gameplay and tag system. A few questions on this version though:

  1. Will it have tag in/tag out? Or will the secondary character only be for assists?
  2. Can you select Tekken and SF characters in the same team?

No one knows yet

This game is looking so rush down right now…hopefully they add characters like Sodom and Yun/Yang.

Please tell me they got rid of focus attacks.

Dumbest gimmick ever.

Truth

Oh, and WD’ing under projectiles = hotness.

It looks like the Project Justice gameplay style without the super jumps.

The SFIV models don’t look dated at all, they’re made to look that way. I don’t want hyper-realistic models in a SF game. That’s Namco’s job when they do their own version.

Hopefully there is only the best of the best fighters in this game. If they can do little tweaks like Ryu’s funny face and fix the other issues then this game would look great.

First off, they need to get rid of the sf4 trademark of people bumbling around in the backgrounds where there were none in the Tekken 6 backgrounds (I don’t know if those people have Ono’s face on them or what, but they look fuckin’ dumb) like idiots, then make the male sf characters’ eyes match the Tekken cast as far as size. Ryu looks way out of place with his huge eyes…and he’s asian, for crying out loud, while Kazuya, despite his hulkish build, looks fairly normal face-wise. Ryu’s eyes are bigger than a scared american’s. Nigga looks like he’s doing a “wild take” at all times. The women’s eyes, evidenced by Chun and Nina, look just fine.
