Another character reveal
My problem with this project -and Iām not trying to shit on what you guys are trying to do- is that the story of Ryu and Kenās origin isnāt interesting and has been done before. And the problem stems from the fact that the SF2 characters are cardboard cutouts without much in the way of depth. Dictator is an evil dude, Gief likes to rassle, Blanka is a beast dude, Chun is out to get revenge for her fatherās death, and Ryu and Ken are generic karate dudes and one is more disciplined than the other. Thatās about it and the games donāt venture any deeper than that. And their back story is that Gouken/Goutetsu taught them this martial art, they must control their anger or it will consume them, enter Akuma who has anger issues and kills their master and then they fight Akuma.
If you guys go in an entirely different direction with that than great. I welcome that. But to do the same old story weāve seen before with characters that lack depth seems a little pointless. MK has a great and diverse assortment of characters that are interlocked in some way and you can create an interesting back story there. Same with the KOF characters. But I just donāt see it with SF.
Believe me there will be a lot of depth in this series

I know street fighter proportions are pretty ridiculous, but I still wouldāve expected Ryu to be a bit more hefty
The series takes place from ages 12 till when they leave the dojo and return to find Gouken dead.
A lot of people think Ryu should be like his SF4 self lol. But Mike left a message on youtube in response to some saying something similar

I was training with Mike for a while now. Heās nowhere near as skinny as he is in the video. Heās been really working hard on getting bigger.
They actually are using Asian actors for the characters, which makes me simply so happy. I was skeptical about this at first, however now after seeing the cast and seeing that they are really trying to harness Street Fighter into the real world of filming, then I am without question hopeful.
The casting so far is simply mind blowing and Iām hoping to hear more from this in the near future.
