They still pissed Mighty No. 9 is a more finished game than Street Fighter V.
Because 99% of the time, in a match, there’s no perspective to account for because character sprites aren’t literally on top of one another.
Get a grip, you’re losing your shit over the fact that if one character is standing on top of the corpse of the other, for the split second it happens it looks kinda weird. That’s literally all you’re complaining about.
What are you even talking about “proper placing”? What is that even supposed to mean?
SF5 is optimized for the main case, which is two characters that are NOT on top of one another, but whose limbs are overlapping. It’s a perfectly valid stylistic choice, and acting like SF4’s “just let the models clip through each other” approach requires more work shows that you have no idea what you’re even talking about. Both SF4 and SF5’s approach have merit. The difference is that SF5 actually tries to solve model clipping, while SF4 just lets it happen.
Aside from online mode, Trials are my favorite thing to do in fighters. Sad that it won’t be available on launch, but I find peace in knowing that it will arrive shortly.
Yall still talking about where Ryu is standing? Let Ryu stand where he wants Christ
*float where he wants
*float where he wants
Oro taught him well
You can already buy a steam code for this on ebay for $50 too I’m serious. Already $10 off.

Have fun getting ripped off since its 36 bucks other places.
I don’t honestly understand the complaints, how many of you guys even understand anything about development? They want to deliver you a product with all of these things, however they had to make a choice.
Do you want the game fully done in September or PLAYABLE now, online with training mode and survival mode? If you only enjoy the 1P aspects, consider the game incomplete until at least June when they release the Story Mode. It’s no different than paying full price for early access which is exactly what this is.
Nothing wrong with a barebones release if it has the one thing a lot of people want it for, the online. If that works solidly, everything else is a bonus. If you don’t like that aspect, wait for the game to be “done”. Either way, they couldn’t release everything now anyways, it’s not done. The fact that we’re getting it free as well and saving time. Fighting Games aren’t 1P games, if you enjoy them for their 1P aspects YOU can wait. For the rest of us, we got what we want, forget about the E-Sports nature of competitive fighting games, I play fighting games casually and this is a blessing.
Most of the content will be added in two weeks in March, then the big ass ridiculous story mode comes out in June, it’s really not that big of a deal and I’m glad they released it now rather than later so that we can get rolling on the competitive side of things. SF4 went strong for seven years, I imagine SFV will have a similar life span, especially with the universal variable system making adding new characters so much easier than the rigid focus/ultra universal mechanics.

SFV Server Status (SFVServer)
seems we got neither of both…

I think it was pretty expected that something would go wrong with the server during launch. As long as it gets back up and doesn’t have any other issues should be good. Killer Instinct had its share of server/sign in issues during its first season also.
But, guys! It’s only day 1…
Lol, the excuses never stooooops
This is the worst launch in any fighting game I’ve seen.
-Barebone release with only a few modes for casual players. What guarantees do people even have that Capcom will deliver proper story content later on? People have to wait for 6 months after launch?
There are no excuses. There is no way you can justify such a shoddy product; considering that most people will buy this game without having the knowledge that the disc barely contains anything worth your time.
I’m a huge Street Fighter fan but I have to reassess my priorities. I don’t know if I want to support these kinds of customer practices.

5 months. It is now February, it is released in June.
And if its early June, it is more like 4 months.
Its disappointing & lazy for sure, but not gonna trip. I like SFV so I’ll make the $60 investment, because I believe in the game’s long-term potential.
I think its funny how Killer Instinct caught A TON of flack from the FGC for launching half-baked, even though the game is essentially free-to-play. Then Capcom does almost the exact same thing (half-baked), except with a $60 entrance fee, and most of the FGC seems to be cool with it. lol
Its ok when capcom does it
I completly agree on this:
’'I don’t usually “review” a game that i haven’t fully experienced, but considering it’s a fighting game, and how the community reacted to it, i feel forced to write one.
Firstly, i absolutely support reviews as a method of protest against bad habits, broken games and ports. And it’s kinda what i’m trying to do here, but in the opposite way, it’s the community the one i’m blaming today.
I see plenty of negative reviews blaming lack of content, lack of arcade mode, lack of keyboard binding and PS3/PS4 pads support, creating refund threads trying to influence in other people, etc. And i’m afraid it’s only your fault. Capcom said, and warned about the content the game was going to have on release. They said, crystal clear, the game was not going to have Arcade and Challenge mode until March. They said the game was not going to have keyboard bindings, PS3/PS4 pads supports on release, yet people bought it without getting proper info about the game before tossing 60 ing bucks at the screen.
Yes, 60 bucks is too much for the current content, but you can find the game for 30 bucks pretty much everywhere else besides Steam. The single-player content WILL came in a month, the pad and keyboard support WILL come, and you’ll be able to unlock pretty much every piece of DLC will ever have BY PLAYING. Which is nuts considering we are talking about Capcom. I played for 3 hours and i got 20% of a character price already. There won’t be any Super, Ultra or any other payed revision of the game. It’ll be free this time. If you really don’t feel like waiting a month, then don’t buy the game and wait.
Community ASKED Capcom to release it early with just Online and training, because Capcom Tour Cup is around the corner and with just those 2 modes people who really want to play competitive will have more than enough the first month. As i said before, it’s only your fault if you didn’t inform yourself about all this before tossing 60 bucks at the screen then blaming everything because you feel scammed. Your brain scammed you this time, not Capcom.
This is the first time, ever, that PC got a fighting game with cross-play. It was to be expected a couple of connection errors the first hours, because this is the first time Capcom did something like this. Yet you complained. I understand people against the new Naruto game, or MKX. Naruto devs lied to the community and didn’t bring what they said they were. MKX was broken for half a year, they abandoned the game on PC and pretty much ed up with the entire community, Warner Brothers style. But Capcom DID warn you guys. We knew what was coming from like 5 months to this very day.
7 years of SFV probably won’t be possible and the game will die because you can’t read, think, or wait. You want keyboard bindings? Use Xpadder in the meantime. Want PS3/PS4 sticks/pads? Use Xpadder in the meantime or any Xbox peripheral emulator.
All because you couldn’t inform yourselft before buying, probably Street Fighter will die on PC. And the real players who knew what the product was gonna be like, and really wanted to play, are the only ones being screwed here. Nobody talked about how good the gameplay is, how fresh the new mechanics feels. How good the game looks, how good the soundtrack is.
I’m really disappointed today. The PC community has become so toxic, so elitist and so egocentric, they just doesn’t doubt for a second to sabotage an entire game, it’s community and it’s developers, who probably spent years working 14 hours a day just to see how their game gets killed in 2 hours.
My most sincere congratulations, fellas.’’ steam review by ZoSo
-when did capcom anounced that there will be no keyboard support? do you have a link to that?
-its not the first time that pc got a fighting game with crossplay. blazblue on gfwl had a crossplay feature with the xbox version.
-you do realize that unlocking everything beside of the first char will take much more time? its unlikely that someone with a
job will unlock everything he can via playing the game.
as you can see on steam and the game rating it seems that the majority of customers didnt asked for a early release…
people complaning after a working beta that the cfn doesnt work propperly…thats to be expected isnt it? i mean you need the
network to unlock stuff with the singleplayer content too…so the guys who sucked the lack of content up and bought it anyway
cant even enjoy the two existing sp modes.
-nr said online will be great, capcom said online will be great…both games have issues with it right now, the one more, the one less.
-when the game fails its the fault of the publisher! no one else. they have to please theire customers not the other way around.
capcom is sabotaging themself…the communit reacts just to what they get and right now its even less then the already promised barebone things
which got anounced.
but on the bright side…you dont have to worry. when capcom manage to fix the current cfn issues and push out the promised stuff the rating of
the game on steam will go up. and people will buy and play it.
So Street Fighter V comes out Tuesday but a lot of people already have the game. I’ve been talking with some of them and here are some features that aren’t in the game at launch:
Challenges
Trials
1P vs CPU
8 player lobbies
Cinematic story mode
In-game shop
Alternate costumes (you can earn them but can’t unlock them until the in-game store comes out in March)
Spectator Mode
Targets
Extra battles
Arcade
who even cares about any of these, bolded aside? just lol
