Street Fighter V's lack of content is appalling

Throwing a Molotov in the Capcom offices is honestly the best form of protest (just kidding FBI/NSA)

Making these complains when you already brought the game is pointless. They have your money and as far as they are concerned have accepted the business practices with this game. It would be much more effective if you voice these concerns and not purchase it. If you still do wait until it got enough content to warrant the purchase.

Selling the game is also an option. You could probably get back close to full price for it right now

This is all very petty to me. Capcom has done right by the consumers with SFV from the get go, and as we’re all aware, this is new territory for them. If you REALLY feel that fuckin strongly that the game in it’s current state isn’t worth 60 bucks, then you literally just have to wait two fuckin weeks. You get a beefier game and you didn’t pay a dollar more (also, you never will).

That’s my main point is that the 60 dollars is a LOT of value. It doesn’t matter if you see the value immediately upon purchase, you know you’re getting at least 100 dollar value with the 6 added characters just over the life of season one. The possibility, if Capcom is to really be believed, that any character beyond season 1 will also be free as well.

60 dollars is a fucking steal for this game. You instant gratification ass, tunnel vision ass niggas.

Like literally 2 fuckin weeks nigga? Nah nigga dat aint be no release date n shit fo ne of dat nigga.

Capcom has already confirmed multiple, and really mean multiple times that SFV is now a service and will not have a paid extra edition. Capcom already said that all gameplay content CAN be achieved for free so the only way for them to stick to that word is to not have an extra paid version of the game. All gameplay content for the next 6 years CAN be accessed for free.

I applaud you for doing the right thing for yourself and not purchasing something that doesn’t hold the right value for you, but I can assure you it will in that time. Plus if you’re getting the PC version it will most likely be dirt cheap by then. You can already find the PC version for less than 40 bucks and it’s NOT EVEN OUT YET.

There’s nothing wrong with criticizing SF on SRK, just know that it’s like talking shit about Burger King on a BK is King Facebook page. Good luck with it. Hell, there are several people here that did not like SFIV and we probably had the most active base of users that posted here and did not like SFIV, but they were all forced to respect that the game was very successful. Same will have to happen with V if it becomes successful.

This site is actually your best shot at criticizing SF ironically as it does hold a decent section of really jaded OG gamers who just don’t like the newer SF games. You’re not really that out of place here.

SRK hates Street Fighter. We’ve hated SFIV for years here. You should been here for the SFxT hate mob over gems, Cross Counter and on-disc DLC. Before those games there was an intense hatred for 3rd Strike here.

Yup. If anything he accidentally stumbled into the right place.

You just now have to also deal with A LOT of 09, 16 and OG people who did like SFIV and who will also like SFV. You can argue, just expect them to argue back.

Noted, thanks for the heads up. Can I still battle people online, though? Can I still fight my buddy sitting next to me? If so, then that’s all I really care about in a Street Fighter game. Everything else I won’t touch for a while anyway, so I’m cool with waiting.

DAT MADDEN mentality. You wanna play DAT MADDEN?

its in the training mode. just take the regen off

i hate the fact i came on here to get hype and ive been doing nothing but fighting misinformation spreading trolls.

this game look cool. i buy 200 copy lah. great game 10/10, no problem with content

@RawSteelUT Don’t worry so much about what other people think. Just make your opinion stand out and be ready for what comes. If you buckle under a couple guys saying “SHUT THE HELL UP” or “WTF ARE U EVEN ON?” then this isn’t the place for you. Be strong and make your points stand and you’ll probably get some agrees sometimes.

Capcom ran out of time. They had a set deadline and couldn’t finish all the content in the time allotted. It’s not a perfect scenario, but I have faith they will release the promised features in a timely manner.

MKX released chuck full of features. It also had shit online that they are just now trying to correct.

Yeah, but one of these games sold 5 million copies or whatever, and SFV will not get close to that, not as barebones as it is. The reviews will reflect the lack of content, and they matter. Not to me, not to most people here of course, but nobody can get their money back if they only cater to the hardcore. Which won’t even be that bad for SFV, but i wonder how much money will go into the production of the next Street Fighter game, and DLC that is not scheduled yet. That alone worries me. But i hope i am wrong, and everyone likes the gameplay enough so that the game can “survive” the rough start in a good way.

I played Xbox One MKX for like a month. It was like barely passable if you played someone near you and absolute garbage garbage garbage if you played against someone cross country like NY to Cali. I couldn’t believe there were people that thought the netcode was even decent. Basic bnbs with Kung Jin were a complete struggle and fuck hit confirming your 1,1s and such.

No wonder they ran with the quickness (well maybe not so quick had to wait a year) to rollback. Casuals and top players alike were complaining about the code. It’s bad when casuals can tell how bad it is. Top players were competing for BIG MONEY in ESL online and can’t complete combos or block correctly cuz lag.

Like I said before. Could be worse.

MKX online on XBL was borderline unplayable. It was completely garbage with the input lag and was not one iota different than the shit that was MK9 online. It was like they literally used the same exact netcode.

It was nowhere near being on the level of SFIV on PS3, and SFIV on PS3 wasn’t as good as X360 was online. I owned both versions and played both online countless times.

That’s the part that had me the most pissed about the game. Ed Boon said in interviews that it would be “great” and it was some of the worst netcode I had played in years. I won’t even beat you up if it’s ok instead of great. It’s just great to garbage…GTFO. Definitely will not spend another dime on NRS stuff.

Ugh…MK’s netcode. That was the textbook definition of bad netcode. Yikes. I can still feel the full wraith of underwater fighting. Combos you say? What’s a combo on online?
