I’ve been trying to complete Hard mode in Survival and am having a lot of trouble after about stage 33 while playing Ryu. Any players out there have any strategy or tips? Any success information you can share about making it to 50? For me I don’t always go for health. Depending on the opponent I’ll go for Defense Up or Attack Up if a low health option won’t help too much. Because I’m playing Ryu, and I don’t have an issue building CA, I usually don’t choose the V-Guage or CA option. Also, I usually choose the Double Down in the first 5 opponents to get early triple and double score.
I also can’t quite tell if the opponent at the 9th or 10th spot is more difficult. I believe the opponent at the 9th spot requires Defense Up or Attack Up, again if Medium, High or Full Recovery is not an option.
I haven’t even tried Hell mode but eventually I’ll want that title, hehe.
it works…kinda. Only takes one bad round and a bad random generation of supplements to ruin your run. I made it to the 40’s everytime and then some stupid bs happens
I got every survival mode completed on easy and with normal i have ryu,ken, chun-li, zangief,vega. it’s a great way to earn Fight money while they fix the buggyness of this GAME…
Anywho i have a bit over 300k fight money. slowly working my way up to doing the rest of the cast
from what i have faced vs them the cpu’s are morons…with ryu just do Forward and Hard punch…if it connects then proceed with Cr.Hp into shoryuken. If it doesnt connect then do it again. With ken do His target combo, if it connects to an shoryuekn. if it doesnt try it again. this works amazingly well
Stalled out on #42 HARD with Cammy. Every once in a while the CPU wakes up and decides it’s a SNK Final Boss. Bison and Necalli V-Trigger activation pretty much means Rugal has come to visit.
For the most part, Hooligan Slide/Knee Bullet/cr.mk+arrow has been kicking all kinds of butt.
As Chun-Li the Cammy AI presses so many buttons. I tried to practice against Cammy Difficulty 8 on Training mode. Really scary, the reactions are insane.
I find it hard to confirm anything against her. I’m stuck at Hard 27 with Chun.
this only works up until stage 10-15 on normal or hard, after that they’ll punish you after the first block, same with DPs, around level 30+ the AI will hit you with a 30% combo if it’s blocked whereas in the earlier stages they’ll just let you DP again and again.
Quick pointer, but somewhat reliant on luck… Fight request has bailed me out of bad rounds multiple times. That being said it takes a lot longer than a straight run and I still haven’t finished hard after several attempts ending in later rounds.
I can consistently get to 42, and then Laura just completely wrecks me 95% of the time. I’ve made it as high as 47, but no higher. What I really want to know though is: what the fuck is up with the super, god-mode AI that randomly happens with Cammy (any level) and especially Vega at 30? Most of the time Vega is a punching bag, but every so often he just suddenly decides to block every single attack the entire round, and counter hit everything.
Also, not everyone has an invincible move, so that help video really only applies to like three or four of sixteen characters.
Here’s an example of the strategy I used to get through hard mode with Birdie. It involves making the cpu block a close ranged s.mp when they’re getting up, then canceling it into bull revenger.
