Street Fighter V: Survival (Hard & Hell mode)

i need help with nash on hard asap. any advice?

Other than the higher level Nashes, he almost never blocks a jumping attack, and if he does, he doesn’t block the rest of the combo (if you’re not Zangief anyway). Only later on will he start the round by magically air throwing you if you jump in, but after that he’s pretty much free.

Been trying my hardest with F.A.N.G and, while spamming HK Ryobenda into poison throw seems to work surprisingly well, eventually someone gets past my wall of poison and suddenly it’s party time. Any recommendations from anyone? It’s been an absolute slog…

So who’s actually beaten Hard/Hell mode? Lol I make it Level 39 every single time with Ryu before Rashid decides to put some turbulent wind up my you know what lmao

EDIT: I wish I could just push a single button to spam DP instead of consistently timing the input.

How to get a legal “continue”: if you screw up at the beginning of a round immediately hit Start/Options and activate fight requests for any system and any connection. You’ll have a good chance to get saved by a fight request and get to restart the stage you’ve been at.

I beat Hard and Hell using Rashid. HK Eagle to victory. Run away, Eagle, combo when sure. Still a royal pain at the end. Lost at 85, 92, and 95. I was foaming.

Ryu is the same I heard. Spam light shoryuken all day. Get them in the corner. Easier with Ken though cause you can use mp shoryuken instead. There’s a video guide on it. Google search survival tips I think.

Same here. #42 Laura beats the crap outta me. :frowning:

Hmmmm, I’ll try using just light Shoryu and then if I get punished I’ll try backing off and being defensive and see if the CPU does anything stupid. Cause as of right now I’ve just been mindlessly spamming DP.

She’s literally my main roadblock as well. It’s ridiculous how utterly cheap she becomes, especially when you compare her previous encounters. Even when I manage to make it past her, most of the time I am at half health or lower, and I usually don’t even get a medium refill.
Lvl 47 Vega however is even worse. The game literally reads inputs and reacts with every fucking move that can counter hit you if you are in range for normals. What it can’t counter, it blocks.

I was only able to make it to #43 (Birdie, I believe it was?) and got my ass kicked. The MP Shoryu trick just doesn’t work for me at all. SPDs aren’t as useful as they were in previous SFs, either.

Made it to 78 as Cammy… Then I got a crap low health draw when I was low. This always seems to happen to me :frowning:

I’m still waiting for a patch that will allow us to buy continues with points

C’mon, Capcom gotta do this

Found a hard survival vid for Dhalism

Seems that HP yoga fire confuses the AI. Or maybe it was all the mashing. Science must be done.

Rashid HK Eagle is what helped me complete Hard Survival just a few hours ago. I hope the same works for Hell, because I really can’t see a way for myself to do it with any other character.

Any tips for Bison on Hard? I’m maxing out at 33-34.

I tried with Mika so many times before just randomly getting lucky. I lost on level 50 TWICE with opponent at low hps before finally getting the W. Hard mode sucks ass with characters that have no moves to cheese the computer.

Rashid HK Eagle all day. He either tries to jump or slide and it stops both.

Oh, sorry. I meant AS Bison.

Tips for Bison players on expert.
Expert’s difficulty level ramps up slower than hard. A level 44 match on expert is easier than level 44 on hard.
Survival mode is good for those looking at getting the achievements for 300 EX finishers or 300 Critical Art finishers.
I’ve read than scoring a win via chip damage or winning with a perfect stops an EX or Critical Art finishers from counting towards the achivements

J.HP, S.MP, C.MP xx MP.Inferno over and over should see you through the opening 40 to 50 rounds. The A.I even if it blocks the jump in will tend not to block all of the follow up moves and for the most part will not punish inferno. Inferno scores a knockdown and allows you to repeat the jump in safely enough. The A.I tends not do reversals on wake up. Laura

After about 50 rounds, jumping against standing opponents becomes risky. But EX.Stomp is a good way of scoring the initial knockdown to start the jump in routine again.
Save for the first 20-40 games and don’t buy supplements, after than go to town on health buffs, damage buff and defense buffs.
You can use fight requests as a random get out of jail free card.

Match up notes.
Bison, excellent at anti airing normal jumps ins but free to cross ups. Will try to anti air them but will get stuffed by a cross up. Once knocked down, repeat the above combo.
Birdie, mostly free to Headstomp, on block or hit quickly move to the other side of Birdie than back to the other side and skull dive him. He will anti air the wrong way. Land and try to combo S.MK.
Zangief, free to Headstomp and skull diver into S.MK combo, he will block a few and get hit a few but is too slow to dodge the move consistently. Occasionally jumps after blocking stomp but will get hit by skull diver. Occasionally you will whiff the stomp and get SPDed for your troubles, but try and quickly as possible create space and start stomping him again.
Chun-Li start every round with J.MK for a guaranteed combo as she will whiff S.HK everytime. The exception is the level 99 fight where she will anti air absolutely all normal jump ins. Block her pressure, and try to land an ex.stomp knockdown to allow you to start the standard combo.
Nash seems pretty free to jump in combo always, even at level 98.
Cammy will anti air with Cannon Spike often, but once you get the first knockdown repeat the above combo over and over.
Ryu is free to V-Skill, just keep trying to maintain as much space and reflect the fireballs back at him. He will eventually come in close, the objective should be getting as far as way as possible to repeat the process. Its a slow process but and easy fight even as the final opponent at level 100.
R.Mika, stay on the ground and don’t jump at her unless you got a knockdown, she will use he C.HK slide alot which you can punish with C.MP xx Blast/SK over and over.
Laura, arguable the most deadly opponent, stay on the ground and poke her with S.MK, block her elbows C.LP xx Blast to push her away after block light elbow and punish the medium strength version, but you will probably eat 2-3 command grabs for your troubles. Only jump at her when shes on her back.
Karin against stay grounded and punish moves like her overhead attack into slide. Jump at her when’s on her back.
Ken, score a knockdown and jump at him, Ex.Stomp or Ex.SK your best bet here. Pretty easy once the first knockdown is got.
Fang and Dhalsim. Ex.Stomp is projectile invincible and will get you through there fireballs. Fang will tend to punish inferno with sweep later on, so finishing with MK.SK is a good idea here. He can anti air but I don’t find him too trouble some. Got Sim on his back and kill him the combo loop.
Rashid, get him on his back kill him. You will have to block abit, but some of his moves are punishable.
Vega, stay grounded as he will air grab alot, and he can punish inferno quite hard with a combo into v-skill. Again try to get him on his back and begin the loop.
Necalli another dangerous opponent. Learn what moves you can punish, get him on his back and do the loop. Like Laura you will probably eat command grabs a few times.

Okay if this whole color situation doesn’t get fixed with the March patch, I’m going to be fuckin mad. Fuck this mode. I’m salty as fuck after hitting level 46 twice and getting stopped by Birdie.
