Street Fighter V Lounge "We on South Central crack addict status"

This is just me spitballing, but I’m guessing this is how the characters are going to be set up.

ALL the characters from Street Fighter 2, meaning all the World Warriors, New Challengers and Shadaloo bosses.

8 characters from Alpha (Sakura, Dan, Rose, Charlie, Adon, R. Mika, Karin, Gen)

8 characters from SF3. (Alex, Hugo, Elena, Ibuki, Dudley, Urien, Makoto, Q)

All 8 characters from IV.

Possibly 6 characters from Final Fight (Cody, Guy, Haggar, Maki, Sodom, Rolento)

That’s how I’d set it up anyways. DLC would happen later.

they are going to make a few new characters in this one…but i think all the original world warriors are a must

According to the popularity poll no one cares about honda, dhalsim, deejay, t. hawk or balrog.

Honda and Sim should be in just because they’re part of the World Warriors. I couldn’t give less of a fuck about Deejay and Hawk.

No. I wish seniority stopped being a thing, because it’s a really bad reason to include a character, especially one that isn’t popular.

Well, it is a thing. So you’re just gonna have to deal with it.

I don’t particularly like Sim either. I do like Honda though.

I think we are going to be disappointed if we expect all 8 World Warriors… in the first version.

Whatever, I only play grapplers/heavy dudes anyways.

The WW including the Shadaloo Bosses should be treated like permanent members of the UN Security council and remain in SF forever (immune to death). But their plots and appearances should evolve with every iteration, like how MK treats its permanent members.

Majority of WWs are boring af. I’d rather see them be more adventurous with the roster initially over being predictable

I am hoping for the return of older characters that were not in recent games. Like Alex, Sodom and Urien. Also, I love how the game looks a lot more serious as I hated the silliness of SF4 characters.

Alot of new characters & characters that didn’t make the cut in USF4 (Alex, Urien, Gill, Oro, Sean, Eagle, Karin, Q, Birdie, Haggar, Charlie)

They shouldn’t tread too much old ground in the first iteration. Make me feel like I’m not playing SF4 again.

Eh, I feel Honda doesn’t have enough going for him to keep around.
-Command Throw? I want to play Gief
-Mash special? I want to play Blanka/Chun
-Headbutt? Bison/Blanka

The other 7? Sure. New Challengers? Could probably pass on Hawk/Fei and none of you scrubs care about Dee Jay. Shadowloo? Unless they are the main villains, they will feel pretty pointless. I mean, what WERE Bison/Vega/Balrog doing during SF4? Getting pushed around by the story-relevant characters.

We’re going to get Guile or Remy. Or possibly both of them and watch the result since there are some theories that Charlie was Remy’s father.

I wish for Vega to be able to climb in his stage again.

e- wrong thread

This is a good example of where the gaming industry has went over the years. No one expected SFV to look/play like SFIV because Capcom has never done shit like this with any of their fighting games.

I won’t blame Capcom for the direction the SFV project is headed. I mean… most of you are masochist, so It’s all good. SFV hype! I fucking hate it and there are better fighting games. But… fuck that shit, let’s continue to play SF because it’s SF! throws money at Capcom CEO

I knew the trailer music was familiar…

Just hating on shit is not helpful. It’s better to simply promote the alternatives.

Not to make another joke about CvS2, but you can throw it in the mix as well for all the mismatched sprites there. Balrog looks like less like a game character and more like a cartoon character in the game compared to 90% of the cast.

I seriously doubt that’s going to happen.

A lot of the WW and New Challengers aren’t that popular.
I don’t see a reason to include all of them.
The same definitely goes for SF3 and SF4.

I think the original roster will be quite small, with a lot of characters being added later as DLC and with future updates.
I’m sure they want SF5 to be balanced well from the start, which has a better chance of happening with a smaller cast.
