The WW including the Shadaloo Bosses should be treated like permanent members of the UN Security council and remain in SF forever (immune to death). But their plots and appearances should evolve with every iteration, like how MK treats its permanent members.
I am hoping for the return of older characters that were not in recent games. Like Alex, Sodom and Urien. Also, I love how the game looks a lot more serious as I hated the silliness of SF4 characters.
Eh, I feel Honda doesn’t have enough going for him to keep around.
-Command Throw? I want to play Gief
-Mash special? I want to play Blanka/Chun
-Headbutt? Bison/Blanka
The other 7? Sure. New Challengers? Could probably pass on Hawk/Fei and none of you scrubs care about Dee Jay. Shadowloo? Unless they are the main villains, they will feel pretty pointless. I mean, what WERE Bison/Vega/Balrog doing during SF4? Getting pushed around by the story-relevant characters.
We’re going to get Guile or Remy. Or possibly both of them and watch the result since there are some theories that Charlie was Remy’s father.
This is a good example of where the gaming industry has went over the years. No one expected SFV to look/play like SFIV because Capcom has never done shit like this with any of their fighting games.
I won’t blame Capcom for the direction the SFV project is headed. I mean… most of you are masochist, so It’s all good. SFV hype! I fucking hate it and there are better fighting games. But… fuck that shit, let’s continue to play SF because it’s SF! throws money at Capcom CEO
Not to make another joke about CvS2, but you can throw it in the mix as well for all the mismatched sprites there. Balrog looks like less like a game character and more like a cartoon character in the game compared to 90% of the cast.
A lot of the WW and New Challengers aren’t that popular.
I don’t see a reason to include all of them.
The same definitely goes for SF3 and SF4.
I think the original roster will be quite small, with a lot of characters being added later as DLC and with future updates.
I’m sure they want SF5 to be balanced well from the start, which has a better chance of happening with a smaller cast.
