Again, Denjin is not a Dark Hadou move, it’s a Nothingness move, used only by Gouken and 3rd strike Ryu. Everybody used black ink as a default thing in SFIV, it might just be a remainer from that, his fists are still imbuled by lightning during the install.
It’s not just that though, it just looks clunky. Say what you will about Marvel 3 but that game is so fluid in motion like SF3. I want that in this game.
Would be interesting if you could choose your “element” to balance scales. Basic rock paper scissor mentality that would be fairly intuitive and ensure there are no truly bad matchups everything being equal.
Hey speculation is fun!
So, you say those “eye candy” effects are like “Elemental power enhancement”, but you refuse to believe Ryu’s Dark energy is, only because it doesn’t fit your theory? Cool.
Ugh…PS4 exclusive is bad news for me. I might have a reason to build a new PC, though. At least so I wouldn’t have to buy another stick as well… This shit is expensive. After 23 years of this, though…I’d be fooling myself to think I’m not gonna be playing this game somehow on day one.
There’s this thing Capcom likes to do with their fighting game trailers that irks me. They like to cut the videos so that the “combos” you see are segmented, which leads you to wonder if they are combos at all. Why do they do this?
First proper impressions - looks - bland , gameplay - SFXT with extras - breakable stage objects? Is this the 90s? Can’t feel the hitstun impact as forceful as 4.
A SHIT load of work to be done for this to not be generic fighter 5. Early days .
oh cross platform play, so the people that pay extra for competitive online play can play with those of us who don’t. noooiiice.
interesting we’re in an area where console manufacturers are buying up rights to franchises- SF5, Nintendo and Bayonetta, MS and KI (yeah i know they bought those rights decades ago). but buying into sf5 is huge… wonder why they let it on steam as well though.
I like how the muscles have been emphasized in chun’s legs, so it’s not just fat. i’m pretty hype for this.
This definitely seems a lot faster, might as well call it SF4:Hyper Fighting
On the positive side: some of the animations look smooth like Chun’s lightning legs. And the lighting effects, while they need some artistic work in terms of making sure the characters aren’t obscured, are quite nice looking.
