I don’t think we’re getting 3 styles, that would be hellish to balance and there will always be one style better than the rest negating them. What I do think we will get is each character will have their own -ism kinda that is activated via the power up. Giving each character unique properties to their normals/specials/supers etc. This can be inferred easily from the footage we’ve seen so far IMO. Although it would be amazeballs if we get actual distinct playstyles for each character, a smaller roster would make it possible.
Honestly, the stuff that Ken Bogard was saying last year was more believable.

I want no more than half returning, with the other half being newcomers and characters NOT in SF4. Let’s see what they can come up with.
Glad that turned out to be fake. Though the scientist character did sound interesting, the stuff about Twelve, and 3 styles s didn’t seem plausible, and the Aussie gal didn’t really sound interesting to me.
I don’t think we’re getting Hugo, Poison, Dudley, or Elena tbh. Hugo simply isn’t that popular, which by extension rules out Poison. If we have Bison, we’re probably getting Rose instead of Elena. Dudley might actually be in, but I could see the 4 Kings coming back since we’re getting Bison, and we aren’t getting 2 boxers in the initial release.
I feel like they’re building more of a story this time around (zombie Charlie is VERY specific), so you may want to think about who could be in by how they relate to Shadowloo, since we know that’s going to be a big thing given Charlie and Bison are in.
Yeah, I was pretty skeptical about that list as well. I agree, I don’t think Hugo, Poison, Dudley, or Elena are returning…at least not right off the bat – we just got them. I do see C. Viper and Abel returning at some point, but if the initial cast is 16, then there should be room for other more wanted and popular characters to make a comeback.
That list and explanation did seem plausible to me. Remember when that guy leaked the ultra info on Decapre, red focus, delayed wake-up and that turned out to be true.
I take every internet rumour with a grain of salt but I’m not going to totally rule that info out.
That rumor proved to be nothing but that when I read “a drug using scientist”. There’s no fucking way Capcom would put a character like that in. They’re all about the T rating for their fighting games.

That list has been debunked, it says so in the headline as well.
It’s fake? Damn, all of that info looked pretty legit. That starting roster looked pretty good too, had a feeling Viper would be on it, she’s offers too much to the table not to be in it. She’s only been in one game and is not overused or fully known by casuals, she looks great and practically all her DLC costumes in SF4 (just like Cammy who has the best costumes overall, not arguable O_O) and she’s different in playstyle. (this angers some people, but oh well)
The only thing that didn’t sound great at all is the multiple fighting styles part. Even though this is “fake” (or capcom could be lying and is forced to change plans around cause it’s true) i still think the beta is happening really late this year, and not in August like people are saying.
I wish Capcom would go back to their roots and give us an old feeling game but with next gen res. SF4 and SF5 look too much a like. Every SF looked completely different from one another.

No announcement at FR18 or anything? I figured every big tourny that has capcom cup qualifiers would have something.
That’s what I was thinking/hoping as well. With 16 premier events around the world, I was thinking they’d make an announcement at each of them. After all, last year this time is when we got the Decapre announcement and then the early exhibition of her. There is supposedly some exhibition after USF4 grand finals tonight, but I haven’t seen any news or speculation on what it’s about.
