I dont imagine cancelling my amazon preorder and buying the PSN version will be a problem. Was going to go PC on this one but realized not waiting for windows, steam, and the game itself to load is a beautiful thing.
Drive club was a game in rush to meet the consoles launch so this is nowhere near as dire a situation. Capcom has plenty of time to sort this out and this seems like more an issue with the beta than an issue they would have had at launch.
Drive Club was not out anywhere near the console launch though. It came out nearly a year after launch. And don’t even get me started about the “free PS+ edition”. That was part of the reason I even used my free year PS+ card at launch because I thought I’d be able to give it a try then decide whether to buy it or not. But the free version came out like a month ago I think, long after I lost PS+.
Technically it came out way after launch but im sure the struggle started with them pacing to make launch. Doubt they had as many betas as V will have either.

I don’t know if i’d take a vacation for a beta. Since things can go wrong. I like to make money not lose it over 1000 errors. Anyways the connection when i got in was fantastic so knowing that the next try will be better. Thats awesome.

I’m thinking about doing this myself, people are gonna be playing this game like crazy when it comes out and no load times from a disc gets you into the game that much faster.
I saw someone say that they want a title that says [Error 21007] as the “Beta incentive” they’re offering to everybody. I would actually want that, no joke.

If you’re into fighting games, there’s no reason to own a Xbox over the PS4. Sony has positioned themselves as the definitive console of choice for fighters and games alike. That is unless you REALLY like Killer Instinct.
Killer Instinct is coming to PC, so having an XBOne at this point is null for people who only play fighting games.
Not if you don’t have a gaming PC it’s not.
I know I sure as shit couldn’t run KI (or SF5) on this laptop (OSX) or my desktop (that I never use and haven’t upgraded in 5+ years).
I’ll stick to X1 and PS4.
The pricing of a PC capable of running these games though would be around even, slightly more. Just from an objective viewpoint an XBone at this point isn’t as important to someone about to purchase a system who only plays FGs. A lot of people have already invested however, in your case and probably a lot of others, too.

I do really like Killer Instinct and if Killer Instinct does come back for another year at Evo, it’s most likely going to be played on Xbox One and not on PC. Which is why I got Gummo to cross mod my KI stick for PS3/4 and Xbone. That way I’m covered. I figured the beta would hold me over for a bit, but since I literally can’t play the SFV beta ATM I might as well just still have an Xbox One around since KI is the only other fighting game I regularly play ATM. My friend is trying to get me back into Marvel 3 but that’s on 360.
It’s going to be a long wait for the PC version of KI or the PC beta for SFV so I might as well have something else to play. There are no other fighting games coming out in the near future on PS4, Xbone or PC that I have interest in. The only non fighting game I’m interested in playing is Quantum Break since its a nice futuristic take on Max Payne and made by the old devs. That’s coming out on Xbox One and PC so I may play that on either of those platforms. Still need to play Sunset Overdrive also.
Overall though yeah, like KI too much to wait for PC version and there isn’t anything else that I’m going to play to hold me over for the next SFV beta.
Yeah, I hate KI but now I’m regretting it. PSN USF4 is buttcheeks, and I want to play Yago some more. But yeah, if you’re gonna play KI, might as well have the system/stick for it if you help run local events, then you def have to because with as much as stuff gets stolen, no one is bringing multiple gaming PCs to events these days.
