And yea I found some good ones on deviantart that were designed for the contest yet were released fully on there. Guess they didnt care. But there was one that stood out that was an evil Ryu about to throw a fireball at jumping Ken. It was very epic and the Ryu was drawn in the style of Capcom artist which I always think is cool. I wont post it up cuz I want it to be about us SRKer submissions.

Shubacca, your Oro/Necro/Urien is one of my faves for sure. I always appreciate seeing some other people going the cartoony route. They have a lot of character and i like the way you exaggerated them; Necro especially.
Heres my unfinished stuff. My basic idea for a long time has been on focusing on an older Ryu (beards, wild mountain man hair, wrinkles.) This stuff was never even close to being inked.
Since maybe 2000 I had an idea for an enlightened Ryu, finding his true potential. There was a white/silver theme. I imagined a more ghostly looking Ryu. I had a spikey-bushy idea for him, but I was recently on a long hair-and-beard-streak. (I used to hate beards on characters when I was a kid.)
I wanted to make this one all black and white, but photoshop a solid red bandanna (no outline) in his hand blowing in the wind. Its kinna hard to imagine.
thats better than santa claus ill take it. my original idea for true ryu didnt have a beard or long hair but ive jsut been in that mood this month.
and i think in sf3 they gave him stubble. thats why i noticed alot of fanart has him with a tiny bit of gruff on the chin. im thinking its the famous character select ryu pic by ikeno that caused that
lol. i was actually thinkin of haohmaru from the SS series, specifically from the one where he’s old and has a beard ^^; looked like it was goin to be pretty good tho.
either way, i have just been beard crazy these past few weeks. i might post up some usual older Ryu stuff of mine, without all that haohmaru, jesus, toki action.
I am dying to see what the level of work people got evaluted on
because alot of the stuff I’m seeing in here in amazing, that photo rook did, I can’t accept the fact that it didnt get in, it is of disbelief.
and that Ryu coming out of the ground?? wtf how people do u know submit things like that? the whole idea was awesome.

Well, I’m actually trying to get something together for that. I’m writing a comic and most of the art I do show on DA is snippets from it or other projects I worked on. I’m a little scared about Tokyopop but I’m pushing to make sure I do it lol.
